I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
when ever i get the tuning down, its still idling really rough, and it came up with engine misfire code, not sure whats wrong because it didnt give a specific cylinder of whats missfiring, so im not sure if its something with the injectors or what
The only thing you had to change was the injector table for
it to idle right.
Double check your vacuum lines and make sure none of the plug
wires are against the exhaust.
^This.
Just do double check; you're running NGK TR6's gapped at .035 right? Or something similar with that gap? Don't wanna be running different plugs at stock gapping.....
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
you know what, i dont think they are gapped at .35, i already changed the injector table but when i originally installed the ngk tr6 it was for nitrous, and with the .35 gap it was mis firing like crazy, so i gapped them at factory gap and it idled perfect
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
i dont have a gapper handy, but i pulled the plugs and they are not at .35 since i had a box of ngk's laying around still at .35, so im pulling plugs now and changing them out
good thing i kept my headers instead of switching back to manifolds ahah, changing plugs would be a nightmare
ill probably be selling mine because it wont hold the power, if your car is a bolt on car this clutch will be fine, pm me if your interested
to get the oil pan out i had to take off the clutch and flywheel and the transmission
All I should need is OEM.
Ill be taking all that out anyway to do the clutch, and the fly wheel to do the rear main (it leaks BAD). So I thought Ill do the oil pan gasket while Im that far anyway. Any advice or is it a cinch from there?
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
it was a bit of a struggle, you have to work the gasket around the different objects hanging down from the bottom of the engine into the oil pan, put its not too hard
i need some help! i got the idle fixed with the plugs, when i rev it up its fine, but when i stop revving and it comes back down in rpm's, it drops down to like 500 and almost dies before it idles back up, any ideas? is my BOV supposed to be oppening?
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
tomorrow my clutch issues should be fixed an i can see how much boost its at, i got the base tune down now and my afr's pretty close, tomorrow ill dial them in and get them spot on and take a video for your guys
