I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
Glad to see it's running and on the road.
One thing that bugs me though. Are you not going to cut part of the plastic bumper in front of the intercooler to allow cool air to reach it? Even with the bottom part of it bent out of the way, that's a rather inefficient setup when it comes to cooling the charged air. I would suggest you remedy this before you get too far into tuning under boost to get an optimal tune made.

That is an AMAZING job for $700 man. I wish I had some welding skill and a place to do it and I'd be seeking a similar setup. I definately want to see some videos and this thread def needs to be stickied.

im going to cut the bumper, so i got a decent tune on the car and decided to play around, got it up to 4lbs before i backed off it it :) feels great, ill get a in car video tomorrow
Re: I am the FondleMonster- and i has a turbo(build thread)
8? how about 12
so on my way home from a friends, it pops the engine reduced power and gives code p1514 error, and starts bogging down, i come to a stop and the car wont start, or it will barely start and have a really rough sounding idle but the car isnt actually fully on, it sounds like its out of gas , so i get someone to bring me gas and i put it in and it still does the same thing
i pull up hptuners and see the engine diagnostics>general>tps sensor is directly related to code p1514, so i max the values so it doesnt give me that error anymore, it starts up but the idle is a off again, i drive for a mile and it bogs down and dies again, i thought it could be the fuel pump, but i can hear it turn on when i put the car in run, i guess it could just be going out possibly?
idk whats wrong, it could be tuning but im not positive, anyone have any suggestions?
could it be because i max'd all the values in the tps table?
