you will have to fabricate the mounting hardware and the tensioner relocator. And you will need a different pulley. ASP makes one for around 90 i think. you will also need a 103" serpentine belt. You will also need new pipe. And this will tell you near to everything you need to know about the v6 powerdyne = http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/guide.htm

um not sure about that. There are various powerdyne kits and mounting brackets up here from time to time. I think members have built them for around 1400 or so. if this is really what you want to do then buy the lt1 kit and salvage what you can, it caint hurt. If you were thinking about a turbo before u might want to consider going back to it. Power is nearly limitless, or you can limit it to whatever you please. way more efficient too. Not really an option with the powerdyne. and Ive heard alot about the units being a PITA from breaking and what not. just some insight.

im not knocking the powerdyne at all. people have made good power with them. I think ssms's was like 288rwhp. But he kept having probs with the headunit. and he eventually went with a turbo setup. Powerdyne is a good option, but turbo is better IMO. Most of the parts you can fab yourself, and it seems to be more bang for your buck

The everything in the kit could probably be used except for the mounting bracket. You might be able to PM 97rs4life on here and see what he could do for you as far as a bracket....he had a group sale on them a while back. I bought one, along with 9 others, but I don't know that he would be able to make just one more for ya, as it cost a ton to have the group purchase made. Worth a shot though.

I am also running his bracket kit with a Powerdyne, at least 5k miles on it an runnin' strong, although mine sounds like it could implode any time. (It won't though, I know whats making the funny noise) Good luck!

I put so much money into my Powerdyne I could of built 2 turbo setups , was the worst investmentt for my car so far but I expected too much from it(its fine for 6-7LBS and not living in a high heat state), but I'll have to see how the turbo handles the heat. If it doesn't I will put in a built LS2 & tranny and call it a day.

Yeah, you can only use the SC and its accesories. You would need the brackets.

Your better off going with turbo then if cost concerns you.

OR you could do the mature thing and fab up a bracket for a Paxton, Vortech, or Procharger; make kits and sell them for lots of money. :D

Or... if you're really desperate, you could make an offer on the Powerdyne brackets I've got sitting around still NIB.

                            I would honestly go Turbo.

Supercharging is good but its a ton of work and a ton of money.

You can get so much more power from a Turbo for the dollar.

Explain to me how bolting on some brackets, piping, and a supercharger is more work than fabbing a hotside, bracket, and intercooler setup. The powerdyne is a great choice for what it was made for: a beginner's supercharger made to push 7psi max. Great for a moderate push on the street, but if you want more, turbo is the way to go.

But it's still easier than fabbing a turbo setup. That's the primary appeal of supercharger kits.
