  • help with vacuum lines

Hi i need help setting up vacuum lines for a turbo set up. i have an idea how to do it but i want to be 100% sure. here are all the ports i have

    Turbo - one boost port
Wastegate - top port and bottom port
Bov (type s style) - top port bottom port

i also have one of those ebay boost controllers i dont care too much about that right now just the main stuff

any help on how to hook all this up or part up would be greatly appreciated
    thanks!!!

On the turbo, you can use that port as the reference line. My turbo doesn't even have a port on it so I tapped into the MAP sensor vacuum lines for my wastegate, bov, and gauge reference.

Here is a good diagram that helped me understand how a wastegate works and mostly how to hook it up.

I'm not sure how your BOV works.. I'll look it up in a little bit. But mine has the mount that you install onto one of your intake pipes. And then one vacuum reference line that keeps it closed under boost and opens it up under negative pressure ie vacuum.

lmao, that thread looks familiar. That's not the turbo I have anymore since it was completely f'd before I even hooked it up. Thanks to that ******* I bought it from.

          thanks alot guys
blizzard i dont have a port on my turbo either, i figured id have to weld one in to my pipes or something but you just have it in your map sensor, so how does this sound
tap into my map sensor run that to, my side port of my wastegate, and my boost gauge, then do/can i use my fuel pressure regulator vacuum for my bov in the top port and from this picture i found does this mean the bottom port is not needed but recommended?

Yeah, it looks like the bottom port on the bov is not needed. But if you do use it, it's hooked up on the other side of the throttle body.

You can use the same vacuum line from the map sensor for all of the components.

cool thanks, its alot easy than i thought now. one last thing does it matter which line on the map sensor i use the one on the front or the one on the back which i think goes to the fpr, or is either one fine? thanks again!!!

Either is fine since they're all interconnected anyways.
