Well I started it today :) ......but ran into a potentially huge issue......
Basically I have oil shooting out the side of the motor. I had it running for maybe 10 seconds between the 3 starts. The oil seems to be shooting out a port in the side of the block that is not plugged. The pic is of the side of my old motor. The hole is plugged on that motor, but not on the motor in car. The spot is circled.
Sorry I haven't kept yall up to date. I have an appointment this Friday to get dyno tuned. I have a light tube to make it driveable. Put 25 miles on it. Have a minor leak needing fixed. Post up your whp and wtq estimates!
Well made it to the dyno, motor was still knocking on dyno so didn't make high hp. Now the motor sits in pieces. I was working on figuring out the random knock I was getting. Started it up and heard a loud metal on metal noise and that was it. Two lifters got destroyed and took out the cam along with it.
I'm in the process of designing a replacement cam and getting new lifters. I also need to drain all the oil and get all the metal from the lifters out.
