      I need some thoughts......

      Should I get a wideband?
If so should I mount in pillar or next to cigarette lighter?

I know its probably good to get it but I don't want my car to look like rice.

You def need a wideband to help you tune it. As far as placement maybe wait till you get the gauge to help u decide, but put it where you want to and dont worry about what other people think. :)

No brainer question. Yes you will need one, lol. :p

Too much tuning is gonna be needed not to have one.

wow, you've done such a great job with this motor, looks amazing!! If you dont mind my asking, could you give a ball park estimate as to how much this engine rebuild has cost you thus far?

Thanks. Without counting miscellaneous brackets, mounts, ball joints, paint and a few other things I think I am right around $5k-ish. I originally thought it would be much less but things just coming up that I needed so I went and got it. I know I could have done a turbo setup for less. Hindsight is always 20/20. This is definitely going to be different than a lot of setups. Also I'm aiming for 300hp and about 325tq at the wheels. If I fall short I won't be too disappointed though.

Looking good, hope it goes well for you. I think I spent around $4500 for everything I bought to do my turbo build, excluding extra parts and heads with manely valves.

hey man I think its 5k well spent though... At least you can look at it every day and say I did that myself... a serious sense of pride comes from building it from ground up...

That motor looks great man very nice job. Has anyone used a tubular K member for their 3.8 turbo setup? I found one for the 3.8's here... http://www.gvperformance.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=302 ...I got my turbo parts from stattama and spent about $1500 for turbo, bov, wastegate, and a 600hp intercooler.

Will your ground clearance be around stock after pluming exhaust under k member? That's a nice turbo, I have the T67 to put on my 3.8.

Ground clearance shouldn't be an issue with the oval tubing and tub. K , plus I have adj. QA-1's all around and 1LE rear springs so the car is sitting higher than stock , but with the ground effects you can't really tell unless you measure the fenders to the ground, which mine are 27.5"s all around.

I have the eibach sports and my pacesetter y pipe catches sometimes. I will be going with that k if I decide to keep the 3.8 when I rebuild. Might go with a 5.3.
