So i sold my old setup for a few reasons, it made great power, but i just wanted more ahah, so im gonna start my new buid, using all BRAND NEW PARTS, lots of plans for this car, its gonna be sexy

    l32 block
    Master power new "p" trim- 70a.r .68
tial 38mm wastegate with 4psi springs for low boost daily driving
custom FFH headers, possibly keeping a/c havent decided for sure yet
    32x12x3.5" FMIC
Abbot stage 3 heads, 130lb springs
Hopefully a holden intake, if not ill use a ported stock intake
    custom ground cam 226*/226* .536/.536 on a 115
    tubular k member
    electronic boost controller
    Roll master double roller chain
greddy bov like my last one, sounded good in my opinion

any suggestions for a clutch? heard the spec clutches are garbage
hoping to make around 600hp in the race trim

          Re: New setup

you sold the turbo kit on ftv6 for 1300 right? is that even enough for the abbot heads?

Not doubting you man, I'm just shocked you seem so calm about dropping this much change, when I'm like struggling to save up for Hp tuners lol.

Gl with your build man. Maybe when I'm in Austin sometime I can swing by.

              Re: New setup

i have other money then just what i sold the kit for lol

if you can piece together the kits and fabricate them yourself its too expensive

i do alot of fiber glass work and tuning so i make decent money from that, especially cars i already have licenses for those year

                Re: New setup

I doubt you'll make anything even close to 600 hp with that turbo (even with a cam). You'd be better off with with a Garret GT35r.

BTW, 130 lb valve springs arent enough for a setup like that...better go with 150. I know this because I have TurboV6Camaro's old 130's when he switched to 150's on a similar setup ;)

BTW, why do you have a hard-on for 600 hp?? Are you building a dyno queen?

                    good advice here ^

when my time comes for the turbo fairy, i'm gt35r all the way hands down.

and good question shodown --- fondle, are you building this car to be fast on the track, or just to put down crazy numbers?

Doesn't Linxs have a set up similar to this ?

                        Re: New setup

i want a street car, doesnt have to be 600hp, thats just a goal.. good to have goals right?

i talked to the guys at modular turbo and they told me garret was more of an import turbo, and all the master power turbos can compare to the quality and reliability

he told me the gt35r couldnt make 600 on my motor and i would need the 70a/r to able to achieve 600

^^That reminds me...if you do want the magical 600 hp, you 'd better get a custom built bell housing for an M6 conversion because nobody makes a T5 that can handle power like that. Linxs is the only I know of that has an M6 bolted to his car. Every 5 speed turbo car that I have read about has killed multiple transmissions (usually 3rd gear). Just FYI.

well my transmission has every upgrade you can do done to it, done by a known builder in the austin area, so only time will tell how it holds
