Boost controller. meth kit installed

Since Monday, working on/off I have been running my wiring and vac. line. Took out the center console , made a new mounting plate out of 1/8th" ABS platic and repainted the console satin black ,so it looks new. So I got the AEM boost controller wired up and solenoid mounted in the engine bay. Have the methanol injection trunk mount kit in the hatch with the wires to be wired up and vac. line ran to the progressive controller, just need to run the nylon hose to the engine compartment and tap the TB or upper intake to mount the injector. So almost got all the my systems componets in and going. Next will be mounting my fans closer to the radiator to give me an extra 1" clearance for the turbo. I'm hoping to get the piping mounted up one of these weekends so I can get it running so I can finish the DP and running the wastegate to the exhaust or just might leave the blow down tube on it, doesn't matter to me. I figure it will take 2 days to do the DP and run it to the exsisting exhaust and run the rest of the 3" intercooler pipping and water/oil lines. So will see this next month how it goes. Will take some pics of the center console and meth kit after I get the console back in tonight, just taking a break, its a back killer like always working on my car. LOL

how difficult was the meth kit to install? Im thinking of running one when I get the powerdyne all said and done. Would you recommend that with just 6lbs of boost?

no but it just seems like over kill, if i posted a new thread for everytime i touched my car i would fill a whole page of topics, and it seems like of your going to post about something new you did, you should probably have pics, because this thread is worthless without them

Maybe I should make a thread called the stevemonster, but it sounds so stupid I wouldn't even want to post it. I post things I do because thats why there is this site with different titles to post in, I have pictures of my car in my album and on my cardomainsite, wheres your? When you have had a stroke and have chronic back pain and take 35 pills a day, 180mg. of Oxycotin with other narcotics , I'm not going to run out a take a pic. right away, I like a finished and functional product in the end thats going to work well for along time. Don't post in my thread unless you have a usefull or intelligent question. Still waiting on videos of your car running or pics of your cars pipping underneath while parked.

Depends on how hot it gets where you are , my AIT's were at 220 degrees here in AZ during the summer. When I had my meth kit with the powerdyne I had a kit up front and used the windsheild resisvor as my fluid holder, worked great just spray behind the maf, which I didn't and took me awhile to figure it out.LOL I mounted the pump on the underside of the radiator shroud so it worked great having the fluid come from the windshield res. With a progessive kit like mine you can set it to come on at 1 PSI but only having it spraying at 10% then by the time you hit 6LBS you will be at 100% power spraying, thats what I like about the progressive kits.

Yea I live in Houston Texas so its pretty damn warm haha. How much should I expect to spend on a good progressive set up?

Finished my install looks good, will post picks when I get a chance. I got mine on sale at Cooingmist( sincde thats where I got my first kit for the Powerdyne and work great no problems) , normal price was $550 and I got it for $350, might want to check their site to see if they have anymore clearance kits. Mine is the first Varicool progressive controller they came out with, they have 2 new ones now that are both diigtal but cost like $250 just for the controller. Mine just has a min. knob, max, knob and tune knob which you set for the ramp rate you want the pump to flow like 10% to 100% , so you can set it at 100% all the time if you wanted. Which I will set it at like 30% at 3PSI and at 6PSI have it at 100% to the max boost I run which will be 10-12PSI winter and 7-8 PSI summer to be on the safe side. I forgot to tell you when I used my windsheild res. it holds about 1 gallon which is pretty good. My trunk mount holds 1.5 gallons. I don't have a windsheild res. because of the intercooler and othher stuff up front. Also about the progressive kits is you only need 1 injector and don't have to change them out since the pump controls the flow rate. The kits come with 2 injectors a small one that they will tell you how much it will flow compared to your HP and a larger one that is basicly double the size for high HP. If you buy a clearance one make sure you email them to make sure it will work with your car.

When I fist bought mine it was just for N/A vehicles, so I sent the controller back and they sent me the right controller for boost, I didn't read the description right but they are easy to work with and will tell you what you need and what you don't need.

Hes suppose to get back with me on when he can come over again, so i'm just getting other stuff done that won't throw my back out and I'm in bed for 4-5 days, I over did it Monday and had to be in bed for 2 days becuase my back hurt so bad. When my back is hurting so much I think about , I should of just bought the FFF kit for $3800 without the trubo, used my $1400 GT35R turbo , and had Peak Boost(turbo shop) thats about 2 miles from me install everything for $2500-$3500 and be done, but whats the fun in that. LOL
I got so many extras doing the build myself , since I saved alot of money on stuff for my build its about $4000-$4500 including the extra gauges, 65lb injectors, egt kit ,meth kit, turbo blanket, polished hot side cover, bigger intercooler, bigger radiator and stainless steel lines etc. Also all the oval pipping, DP and exhaust. So its well worth doing it yourself if you can. I knew a guy who knew another guy that had a new modded Corvette and he said just looking at my setup not even finished it felt faster than his new modded Corvette thats 500 HP , I was amazed. But I think it will feel like 500 HP. LOL

Depends on the flow rate and at what PSI you have it come on at, also how often your right foot goes all the way down. My powerdyne I would top it off about once a week. After I ran out of boost juice I used windsheild washer fluid which you have to look on the container to see how much methanol is in it, some have 35% I think it was so I just used it since it was cheaper at like $2 a gallon. I always was flooring mine, but after awhile it gets old and I would just cruise unless some guy wanted to test my car out. LOL

Meth really works good at the peak of your boost. I used to have one, but I did a bang up job on it.


I wouldn't mine seeing pics of what you've done so far. I always wait for you to post an update. I'm sure it's going to be awesome once it's over.

I agree with Fondle on this (partially). One build thread would make it much easier to follow than a bunch of small threads like this. The issue of the pics...well, as you said they are on your cardomain.
