Got it all done was a pain since I didn't want to bend the metal much doing the cutting, the piece was 36" X 36" 's , and the fans are rated at 1600 CFM each , it rained today so I will be installing it tomorrow, My dremel took a dump so this is using a hand grinder and cordless jigsaw which gave me more problems than it was worth , habor frieght cheap blades and jigsaw. But came out better than I thought, took me on/off about a week since I had to rest after I worked on it for about a hour. Heres some pics, I will be drilling holes for some ties to go through and attach to the radiator. As some aftermarket builders suggested I left about 1/2" or so on each side to be open for straight flow past the fan shroud. Also the center will be like a V shaped so excess air will be down forced into the engine bay. I read up on it a little before deciding to do it. This will give me about 4 "'s more clearance for the turbo. It would be alot better if the front sway bar could be redesigned so it sets either up more about 5" or back.

Looks good, Steve. Good to see you're able to get more work done on this project. Can't wait to see it all together.

I've had my 3 core alm. radiator in there for almost a year about 2"'s or more thick and same height (its about 1" longer than stock, I put the new fan shoud on the stock radiator and it fits the whole radiator perfectly so I should have space on the bigger radiator) , cools it down but I want it to stay about 190 and not go over. I switched my radiator cap to a 21-25 PSI cap and the temp has not gotten over 185 with the stock fans , but I need alittle more room since the turbo is coming up on the far side of the front sway bar with the 3" oval pipping. Just gives me 3-4"s more room to work with and should keep the temps lower and the turbo far enough from the fans.

No , not too hard too make , if i had some better cutting tools I think I could of done a better job, theirs some that cut slits in them in certain places to direct air flow down , but I'll see how this works, BTW I just finally got ahold of the owner of PeakBoost, where i got my turbo from and other stuff. Hes going to drop by my house tomorrow and see what he can do as in finishing the DP and running the alm. for the cold side, and giving me a price for the install , said it would onlt take probably a couple of days since most of the work is done. Finally after alittle over a year the turbo will be getting done.:burn:

I feel kind of sad though I wanted to do all the work myself mostly, So i could say I installed this when people look at it. Oh well , its the only way its going to get done, my back feels 10x worse than last year, when I started buying parts, I bought the turbo 2-20-09. LOL

Too harsh on the front suspension, tie end rods ,lower /upper A arm bushings. I wouldn't mind but the lower A arm bushings are a pain ,even with them being tubular. I will have plenty of room with the new shroud, plus my A/C line is out of the way, ran on the side of the engine bay. I like having a front sway , I drove about 60 miles before without the front sway and did not like the feeling of the road , plus I just got the FE2 rack&pinion installed so theres no way I'm taking the sway off ever again. Makes driving fun in the turns.

The guy never called so I tried to call today but just got their recording so I will try next week.

I got ahold of him today , he had a death in the family so I can't complain for him not showing up, suppose to come over Thurs/Fri for sure and maybe get it installed over the weekend if the price is right.
