the rs can hold more boost than the s i think it was pretty much made for higher boost.. my friend used it on his stealth 40psi

Greddy says that they recomend this for 100-400hp applications. Since the type s is not made anymore this is all i can find.

I would get the 10 PSI one since your not going to be running over 10 PSI on the powerdyne , and if you do , it won't be long before you have to rebuild the unit. I'm running a Tial 10 PSI BOV on mine since I won't be going over that too much , maybe 12 PSI in winter, I 'll have to see how it runs with the turbo first though.

thats a pretty low profile BOV Steve. I figured you would go with a ssqv or something, I like the Tail though, and it looks good. Thats what i dont like about the type s, its freaking purple.

Keep it simple for starting out. Bosch bypass valve from a turbo Saab should do; only vent it to the atmosphere. You can find them on Ebay for $30. Unless you're looking for something to make noise, then I'd go for the Greddy or Blitz brands.

Im probably going to go with an Greddy rs. Im not sure i like the sound that the type s makes, its too high pitched and whistley.

I remember on my Powerdyne I went with a Turbo XS BOV for about $80-$100 on ebay, worked well, had the washers to make it softer or harder, I think I used like 2-3 , maybe 3 it was, had a good sound to it. I went with TIAL this time becuase of their good rep. and the polished housings for the BOV and Wastegate since most my parts are polished, alm. , or chrome. Should look nice in the engine bay. I wanted some show with the go. LOL

I definatley know where you are coming from dude. I need to clean up my engine bay a little bit, it has alot of oxidization from sitting for so long. I am thinking about polishing the powerdyne hu when i get it, or paint it, not sure yet.

Does it have that whistle (mouse fart) that the type s has?
