the only time you might get by without a BOV is on an auto. a manual needs one or you will have horrible turbo lag and your bearings will wear out faster

you always need either a BOV or a recurculation valve with a turbo build

if you weren't going turbo I'd help ya tune it with hp tuners and let ya just buy some credits off me...but I don't touch turbo cars lol...Im no where near experienced enough for that, and one slip means BOOM...

secondly, I'm not sure if my buddy has his turbo from his srt-4 still lying around...he went much bigger, just not sure where the old one is...I know he was trying to sell it for awhile...I'll talk to him and see what I can find out.

Thats not true. It simply lets pressure out of the charge pipes when the throttle body closes otherwise there will be excess pressure on the on compressor wheel and it will be damaged.

Bottom line is that you NEED a BOV with any turbo system.

should let your buddy know that the exhaust side of the turbo is molded into his srt-4 exhaust manifold. pretty much wont work.

The cheapest rearmount that I have seen built on a V6 Fbody cost a guy about $1650 with all ebay parts and an HP tune. Tune and fuel system may cost a little more Here is a link, and his kit looks AWESOME. See post# 36

HA,HA LOL Too funny, don't go cheap on a turbo build you'll end up on the side of the road broken down with a blown engine. Yes like already siad you need a BOV, Tial 50mm is a nice one and so is their 38mm wastegate. I have a Dynomax Bullet race muffler (straight through just like the Borla XR1's ) and it sounds great N/A and will sound alot less once the turbo is on, so you might as well get the most free flowing exhaust you can. Also you will need your own tunning software since you will need to make minor adjustments now and then do to weather change and stuff.
