not really...it dictates who "legally" owns it. My ownership for my car is under my dad...but I own it...I paid for the car and everything on/done to it...my dad doesn't have any interest in the car at all...infact, my dad "owns" all of our cars...its cheaper insurance wise that way...atleast that's what the broker told us. Between my parents and myself though we are all 1st drivers on our vehicles.

funny i had the same kinda thing going on when i had flows. sounded kinda hollow and raspy at high rpm, and my friends would say i was shooting out junk from my tailpipes at WOT.

but those days are gone, just another reason why borla is amazing

                    Re: Budget Turbo Build.

Both my 80 series and 40 series flowmasters were raspy as hell, only brands that didn't rasp was Summit 3" turbo muffler 3'in/out and Dynomax Turbo 3"in/out with 3" turn down out back, Dynomax was louder than the Sunmmit Turbo though. Now I run a Dynomax Bullet Race muffler before the axle because , I hope one day to finish my turbo and it won't be as loud and will have a good tone to it.

Does your friend use just the flowmaster muffler or a complete cat-back exhaust? As I understand it, the American Thunder system from Flowmaster uses a resonator to cut down on the high frequency raspiness that you would get from using the muffler alone. As far as spewing crap out the back, I think that's cool :-)

As soon as I can justify spending $800 for the guy at Peak Boost to install it, its not too much too install , but too much for me to do, I have the money so I just might go ahead and let him do it, but its like throwing money away, I'll still have to run the line for the methanol kit and put the injector in the TB. I will have my heart surgery next month finally , so I'm thinking might as well wait since its in the 100's and climbing in temp and will only be able to run 6-8 PSI. Will see though, I might just have him do it 1 of these weekends, just incase my heart surgery goes bad ,at least I got to drive it with a turbo. J/K LOL I get paid this week so I might give him a call.

Check this out on a budget 2,000 more get a new turbo. Even 2,500 total 3,500. You buy the turbo NEW find a professional to install. Best way but not chep is conecting turbo to headers. Chep way is conecting to rear exhaust.
