So i got all of my stuff from Siliconeintakes.com. And finished up the powerdyne today. Car starts, no SES, seems to be fine. But I didnt get to drive it. I was having some trouble adjustng the type S BOV but thats about it; it started pouring out of no where so I had to pack it in for the night.
Ill have pics up tomorrow.
All in all it was a pretty easy to install and cheap power adder.:)
Oh and does anyone have any experience with the type S BOV?
i have a little bit of experience with the type s bov, mine's one of the ebay ones not a greddy. but what you need to know i might be able to help lol.

haha yea bro mine isnt from Greddy either. Its actually the one from Siliconeintakes.com. So its one of the knock offs haha.
uhmm mine came with two springs in it and i remember it being a little to hard so i took out one of the two springs. i took out the lighter one casue that one alone was way too soft. its easy to do just hold the top so it doesnt fly off and hit you, lol.
but the overall idea is to have it just closed at max vacuum , like decelerating at a high rpm, so it will be closed at idle and then a little bit tighter. if its too tight it will flutter and too loose it will leak before you hit max boost, so tighten it till you hear flutter and then back off just a little so there's no flutter.
thats what ive learned so far lol and some one please correct me on anything if i'm wrong. good luck!!!
well thats great news. Its leaking at idle now and i have the screw pretty much all the way out. Ill open it up tomorrow and see if it has 2 springs. I havent seen any boost reving up to 4k in park; so i guess its leaking under throttle too.
Thanks for the info dude. Ill keep in touch if i have any more issues.
no problem man, but if its leaking at idle now you dont really have to open it up. you gonna want to tighten the screw till it closes, stops leaking. and if you cant tighten it enough you can a different spring or another if you only have one or put spacers (washers) between the spring and plate inside. have fun adjusting!!
You won't see boost in park or N , theres not enough load on the supercharger to produce PSI , need to be in drive and actually drivng the car.

Wait, Is that a V6 or V8? 1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd

Anyway. Here is a pic. Sorry about the size.
Drove it today also, saw a solid 6psi, but when boost kicks in the fuel pressure drops from 60-50psi. Kinda scary. So i guess the FMU will need to be shiped off after all.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
