Finishing up this car now. Several things that are new for this build vs other's I've done.
LS1 Throttlebody
4" Thick FMIC
LT1 MAF put Pre-turbo
Final design of headers.
Stock driveline.
Pic's :)
I don't get on here much anymore but thought I'd share.
Looks good Scott, are you going to run bigger injectors and pump. Hows the LS1 TB working out? Can you run a LS1 maf or does it need to be a LT1 maf? Whats the size diffference over the 65mm?

I put some 38lb/hr injectors in it and a Warbro pump.
The LS1 TB fired right up and idled nice. Just like stock. You could use any maf you'd like. The MAF table in HPTuners might be different from MAF to MAF and you'd have to copy a MAF scaler from a LS engine but that'd be all. (The one on here is 3" LT1 MAF) uses the stock v6 maf connector. just extended the wires.
Hope that helps,
Scott~
I'm currently painting parts of the car and will start driving and tuning next week.

Nice clean setup. That's pretty much how I plan on mounting my turbo if I ever get this project going. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind sharing:
1) What are the pro's and con's of relocating the MAF pre-turbo?
2) Where does the wastegate go? Are you using an internally wastegated turbo and making an extension like the other setups?
3) What is the ID for the GTP manifold outlet? Is that 2"? Looks like it bumps up to 2.25 for the crossover?
4) What does the passenger manifold look like?
5) What kind of turbo flange is that? I want to use a t4 flange (mpt70), yours looks smaller? Is that a GN turbo?
Sorry if some of these are too specific, I understand if you want to keep it a secret.

1) Pre turbo it's a better reading and I don't have to worry about air coming in at different angles. Much more consistant.
2)It's a internal gate. I don't use externals on anything of mine. Waste of money and room.
3)That would be correct approx 2" out of the GTP manifold and 2.25 Cross-over.
4)Looks similar to my other one's I've created. (Pic below)
5) It's a GN turbo. I really encourage guy's to run a GN turbo but for some reason they want to throw on cheap turbo's that don't make any good power.
GN turbo's all fit the same and are proven on this size of engine.
I've told others in my post's what to do but it falls on deaf ears.
These engines have more ability to make power than a GN engine.
If you want to make power follow what the GN guy's have figured out for you since 1987.
I've been into GN's for over 14yrs.
Anyway.. I'll have some final pic's of what I've done to the bumper and hood/ect and final pic's of stuff all done.
I was planning on pushing this car to see what the engine could take but ended up selling it to my wife's old boss. It's his when I'm done tuning it on Friday.
I bet the back tires won't last a week ;)
