ive kept this quiet for a while but ive been collecting parts and starting to assemble a whole new combination for the 89.
the specs on this build are as follows
93 3.4 block with 34k on it bored .030 over and clearanced for the h beam rods
89 2.8 crank out of my original motor std/std /nitrided
set of small journal 5.7 h beam rods machined to fit the 2.8 crank the lil ends have not been bushed for a v6 piston pin as i went with custom forged pistons
j.e did the custom slugs 10.5-1 cr
i called up delta to get another cam done,and went with a solid roller this time around
276/280 dur .580/.580 int/ex on an 116 lsa
iron heads with my usual porting, and reshaped/rotated chambers ( this is an experiment as alot of welding/machine work is being done in the chambers to change the shape and volume of the chambers)
alls i will say is the chambers have been given more of a heart shape and have been rotated a lil bit to deshroud the valves a bit
a welded and ported stock manifold base with a custom upper nothing to special just more volume in the plenum and shorter strighter runners and 2 injetor bungs per cyl the plan is to run one 50# injector and one 60#+ injector per cyl
the larger injectors will come on when boos hits a set point and the smaller injectors cant keep up with the fuel demand.
by now ur thinking that much injector not be enough???? what ???? the plan is to run this car on e85 posibly 100% methonal
the headers wil be redone out of 321 stainless and will be equal length 1and 5/8's primarys to 2.75 collectors with an equal lenght merge pipes to a front mounted s475
3 inch in and out a2w intercooler mounted in the dash with a 10gallon water/ice tank mounted in the back seat area
the reason for going to a2w is the turbo is getting mounted out infront of the motor in the grill opening so no room for the a2a or the radiator, the radiator is being mounted layed over almost parallel to the ground to make room for the merge pipes and 4 inch downpipe
im also upgrading the ecm from my ms1 v2.2 to a ms3x setup with cop ignition not sure what coil packs im going to use yet but either lsx coils or i found some nice compact foreign coils depends on what it takes to make them work on which ones i will use
at this time the shortblock is assembled an am waiting on the heads to come back from being flowed
ill have to have the shop take some pics of the shortblock and send them to me and pics of the heads when they get back
but heres some pics to give u an idea just how big this turbo is
