Yeah thats what I was thinking...
Plus could you imagine the reliability of such a thing? Whats going to happen if just one turbo fails? sounds too expensive to me for the gains you'll get.
so this is what this section has become since i no longer have my turbo 6 lol
correct, im working on my turbo build, I got one FFH with 3 turbos up front, then, for my other 3 cyl.s i got 3 rear mount turbos. Also Im using a rear mount intercooler for those.
well, my idea was slightly different then that of the 57 chevy's setup...I was thinking more along the lines of not having a parallel or sequantial setup...but rather each turbo work independently...therefore you would still run 6 air filters, no intercooler (you wouldnt have the room)
I still think piping would fit, and you would individually tune each cylinder to the amount of air it is recieving (only because it may be necessary for different exhaust/intake lengths to be made to make all 6 turbos squeez in there)
If one turbo failed, you would need to replace it. It would basically treat each cylinder as an entity, but the engine still functions as a whole.
Besides...you guys can't tell me that it wouldn't be sick if someone pulled it off :P
Cocaine is bad for you. Anyway, this is the craziest thing i've ever heard. 2-3 psi is 2-3 psi no matter how many turbos you have. Oh who am I kidding, this is purely awesome! You should boost 10psi each and have 60 psi!That'd be so totally rad, bro. Did you know those twin turbo Supras @15 psi are really pushing 30 psi?! /sarcasm.

remember the twin turbo builds are run in parallel/sequntial. What I was talking about would be neither. All turbos would be seperate entities, 6 turbos, 6 filters, 6 wastegates, etc, etc, etc...
Again, the only reason I think like that is because if you look at a car boosting 15psi into a manifold...it has 6 cylinders to take that air...15psi is 15psi, so it should be the same volume of air no? (unless I am mistaken on this part, which I could be) then that air is distrbuted through 6 cylinders, so each cylinder would in actuallity recieve somewhere around 2.5 psi worth of air each.
So if you had 6 turbos that were only boosting 2 psi per cylinder, and are isolated so that they can ONLY feed that one cylinder and nothing else, I would of thought that it should theoretically be the same thing.

No....not even close. You have to also remember that only one cylinder is receiving air at a time. That and you don't cut up psi, or divide it by 6 or however many cylinders you have. Pressure stays constant from the throttle body to the combustion chamber. Everytime there is a downstroke of a piston, the turbo is pushing 15psi of air/gas mixture into the chamber, and it will do it 6 times per cycle, but the psi is NEVER divided. Nothing is divided, and the only instance anything would be divided is VOLUME, and thats only if all 6 pistons were taking it at once, which is mechanically impossible.

Damm I thought my meds gave me crazy thoughts, LOL J/K , cost wise would be worth it and running a single or tiwn turbos has been done and works for us well, if I had unlimited money and all the time I wanted to try something new I would probably do it but I'm still trying to get my damm engine done with the heads and stuff, damm mechanic is blowing me off. That is really outside the box though, I give you that.

well, I know Im not goin of the deep end yet because it has been done before in a couple v8's :D
well i plan on biulding a remote turbo set up in the back with 2, 1.8t vw turbos each with thier own true dual pipe. they should spool very nicely :P. very cheap and pretty easy
