Re: Front mount headers
If you woulda wanted these about a month and a half ago I coulda sold ya the whole hot side. They are still sitting in my garage, but they are spoken for. lol. To buy a set of FFH's new will cost you about $1500 for just the headers and the crossover. Used I sold mine for about $1100 after I had modified them some. You can use a GTP manifold for the driver side (I actually have a random one laying around if you want it), but in all reality you need to port the snot out of it to make it flow nice. Then you still have to make the passenger side header, and that to me is the hardest side to design since it is a fairly tight fit on that side and you have to worry about the heater hoses and AC lines.
If you just use a GTP header then just make a simple log style header for the passenger side. It is the most simple design and will match the flow of the driver side most closely.
But if you are going to do it I would just suck it up and make true FFH's and skip the GTP manifold. You will be able to make them so you can run an over-k setup which will give you way more clearance. Believe me, I ran an under-k down pipe and also am lowered, and the 1.5" of clearance sucked.
