whats the cheapest place to buy silicone couplers? i'm looking for some 3" yellow couplers. and was wondering if anybody knew of a place cheaper than ebay that has more than straight connectors also.

i've got quite a few misc. colors but i would like for it to be matching, i might go with all black if i can't find yellow.

is everybody running 3" cold pipes and 3" exhaust from the turbo back?

I'm using some custom FFH that i found on ebay. hopefully that will work out, but i don't have the intermediate part that the turbo will bolt to. what diameter pipe should that be? i would imagine three inch but just wanted to check...

i'm about to dig into my turbo build, and i will probably start a build thread so that i can learn from the vast wisdom of others on this board.

FFH's are 2" if that pipping , may need to be ported out. With that small of pipping 2.5" shoulf be fine. Also depends what turbo your using and CFM.

i'm using a tb0348 GN turbo. its a t3 flange. its a .60 compressor and a .48 turbine. no idea what cfm, if anybody has that information it would be great i've looked all over the interweb and can't find it.
        so 2.5" would be best?

        thanx for the link!

          Re: silicone couplers

Thats a really small turbo, since most use a .70 comp. and at least a .63 A/R , but try it and see how it goes. Never know it might work well for ya , but it should spool fast and then top out fast.

welp, its definitely a budget build. i'd love to be happy with this turbo. but if i end up wanting more, atleast it won't be to much work. i just ordered some ford green top 42#s so i'll have room to grow.

I would go with a Precsion GT35R or a SC61 their a little more expenive but you pay for what you get, a nice .70 comp. side and a .63 A/R should spin up quite well. They make it where you can get just the jouranal bearings with just oil or like I got the Ceramic type with coolant flowing through it.
