  • meth inj and PD

    has anyone seen any gains worth while with the powerdyne and meth? I was lookin at snow performance's setup, but i dont want to spend the money if its not worth my time.

      I ran meth. with mine gave me alittle more timing in the end before I had to sell it at the time, but if you in hot weather yes its worth it with the PD becuase it takes away alot of timing , mine was at 13 degrees here in winter with no KR, and thats what I put down oon the dyno with a 2.6" pulley 288 WRHP and 330 TQ, also took out 3rd gear about 1 year later. If yoou can run more timing then thats where you HP is going to come in, basicly it was too hot in AZ for the PD , too many internal belt breakages due to the 2.6" pulley.

        I made my own methanol kit. it's much cheaper then the snow kits...but it's progressive like some of them.

          Its alot cheaper to run your own kit , I paid $350 for my progresssive Cooling Mist kit.

            word I'm definatley going to have to look into making my own then. Hopefully its worth it with the extra timing. It gets pretty hott in the summer here. Over 100degrees.

              The guide above says that it should be sprayed 3-12inches from the throttle body opening. However our MAF is on the throttle body. And shouldnt we be spraying after the MAF?

                yea, it should be, I put mine in the front of the intake right after the throttle body. the guides good for building the kit, but your right about that.

                    I think it will skew the maf reading. Possibly short it?

                      I get that, but would it be better to run an LS1 maf in the charge pipe and then just spray after the maf? or does it not make a difference?

                          I just tap the TB after the maf , I have tried before and it doen't work , soon as the mist hits the stock Maf it goes crazy, I have a good pic of mine in the TB if you need to see it. No need to run a LS1 maf. Its basicly like running a nitrous wet shot , has to be behind the maf.

                              If after the maf the IAT won't show since its about the same location as the maf, but you'll know becuase you can add timing and won't show KR.
