      You can have a built motor , just have to watch your specs, mines been built since 02' still going strong , L26 is the same cam , but the heads are different. The exhaust side is a little bigger and has L32 rods.

                  yes, you can still use 03'-05' FWD engines but they are just like the 02' engines except for the heads I believe.

                      yes, you have to with boosted engines.

                          Yes, its easier to plug the TB through the back.

                              Great now it has a new lower radiator hose on.

                                lol i guess that helps huh. Do you have a recommedation for which cam i should use. If this helps I will be running forged pistons, aftermarket heads, a gt35 turbo running from either 8-18 pounds (depending on the mood) , 60 lb injectors, 2500 stall, egr and ac delete, going for around 8:1 compression ratio.
