good thinking caspernicus... don't know why that didn't cross my mind... that might save me on the passenger side, which was gonna be the hardest side to fix..... did you do that on yours?
passenger side will be good without very much modification and driverside will be good after i take about an inch off the primaries, so it shouldn't be to much work... i can't believe removing the studs wasn't my first thought! thanx caspernicus!
not much of an update. but i haven't working on it to much. wasn't feeling real well... but i've started buttoning up the motor, wires and hose n' such probably going to fix my headers this evening. then on to getting her ready to run, and mounting the turbo... i know i've seen ur50slo put a mounting bar on his exhaust to support the turbo, what else have people done? i just want it mounted it so that its clear cut for the people at the exhaust shop.
k, redoing the headers again.... just found out that mild steal piping for turbo headers don't last... hooray... i'm thinking about a gtp manifold for the driverside but im unsure of the passenger.. possibly schedule 10 stuff.....
k well, been a while since i've updated.. not much to say though.. i picked up a set of grand prix manifolds. i elongated the holes and ported the ports for the driverside... i'm going to continue using my original passenger side manifold...if the passenger side piping fails i'll make a new manifold with the other grand prix mani.
also, i believe i've decided to do the hotside piping to the turbo myself.
