so sick of tuning. instead of a rich cold start now its lean. like 17:1. it'll start out 12ish but steadily moves lean. i've done everything i can think of. adjusting the start up tables will effect it. but i think once it "decays" it goes back to what it thinks is its open loop afr. which is very lean.
i adjusted the open loop tables in tiny tuner but for some reason when u change those it disables PE.... ?? go figure. finally i changed my ifr to 35. and that half *** works. but i don't wanna do it that way.... and it keeps my car from idleing down.

i had 2 exhaust leaks but they are fixed now. my problem is fixed also. no thanx to hptuners. tinytuner has a minimum pulsewidth table. there were two numbers out there for my injectors. one of them was like 1.34 and the other was 4.# and the 4.# was on the money. i did hafta adjust my maf slightly but i was able to run my injector flow rate the scaled way everybody says 2. and my cold start has been good so far. good at warm temps and good at cold temps. i told hptuners they need to add that table but it probably won't happen. i used the hptuners 2.23 beta yesterday. looks cool, a few more tables, but.... super buggy... at one point it just stopped letting me make changes in the editor. they did make the undo button in the vcm scanner only undo the last thing u did which is awesome but other than that i wasn't impressed. and since it didn't have anything that tinytuner didn't i ditched it and went back to the 2.22 with tiny tuner.

do those cones affect CFM at all? everyone recommends AEM dry flow for boosted whips

i have no idea? i would think it would be extremely high flowing. i don't have room for anything larger there anyhow. tonight i wrapped up the intermediate pipe thats near the air cleaner and put in a 180 thermostat. really trying to get the temps down... the iat's are lower than they were naturally aspirated but my timings pretty low and i still get a little knock.. my timing is lower than any of the other turbo camaros i've seen. i was advised to use a timing table from a supercharged 3.8 to start with and thats what i did, it was from a supercharged regal.

time to cool things down! decided to make a shroud for my intercooler. i sort of regret not getting a bigger intercooler. i don't know if it would make a big difference or not. but this should definitely help.

                            om nom nom.

even in 60 degree weather my iats would normally be right around 100* last night it was probably aroud 50 but my iats were way day down in the 70's so it made a big difference. i think the reason i've been getting so much knock retard causing me to pull timing is i wasn't commanding enough fuel under boost. i used the same fuel settings as sms and viper but maybe the 10% ethanol in my gas is causing the problem.
