What would happen...if we disconnected the Intake manifold on an L67 motor and turned it 180 so the throttle body would be facing the front of the motor and turbine / pulley toward the firewall, and had a remote drive connect to the front of the motor... like in this photo...
No. The SC in your picture has reverse rotation because of the rear drive issue. All rear drive SC are built this way.
2 points for trying.
.
Thanks for the points, I might need to inquire for some bonus points for the extra effort here...
What do you think of this idea... A casing built with an external pulley which is driven by the drive belt, that contains two INTERNAL gears... Gear 1 is connected to the pulley and driven by the drive belt, Gear 2 is connected to the shaft that extends back to the Super Charger... By physics, when you have two gears grinding against each other, one gear is going to be forced to turn the opposite direction, in this case, the second gear will be driven by the first gear and be turned BACK into the direction the M90 needs to spin...
The gears will be contained in a housing filled with Rear end oil or grease...
This has me thinking, If your fabbing ub drive gears and a remote pulley, why not have the remote pulley drive a gear which in turn spins a different gear that drives the impeller?
Therefore, Chop the "front" (drive pulley) off the M90, place it on the "back" (side with the TB) attached to a shaft that spins a gear. Then that gear turns another gear which spins the impeller.
Definitely alot of labor to create but it should work
I'm starting to think cartuning is paying you per post.
Just like my ZR1 Rims post. LOL

If only Cartuning were paying me per post, then I might be able to afford an 8.8 before I destroy my 10 bolt in may. (Probably, it's been a champ so far though)
