  • Stattama Oil Adapter Return Fitting Should Work

So I'm about to pull the trigger on the XB-1a supercharger and was looking up how to tap the oil pan. A lot of people on the board have made posts saying the adapter shouldn't work because of it's position under the oil level in the pan. It was said that the head unit would back up with oil because of this fact. Initially it made sense, but tonight I had a few glasses of wine and thought about it and realized it will work just fine, because of science:

Weird, I thought the Playskool blowers were self contained.

Not the XB-1a unit which I'm going to switch to. It's gear driven internally and needs an oil feed and return line, apparently it's really the only good unit they ever made. I'm making the switch after I get a chance to test my new belts (double sided) with the new 6-rib pulley I ordered for the standard powerdyne unit. Hopefully I test this week and get the new XB-1a next week if everything goes smoothly.
