Some hot days in traffic I miss it, but I forget about it when I hurt LSx cars feelings.
Are you running air to water intercooler?
I would love to see a video of your set up. Thanks

Water-meth is going on it in the next little bit, I want to run 17ish psi this year as I will finally have a proper rear end.
I will try to get a video in the next week or two for you, but the weather here is really crappy and the car is in storage lol.

yu might wanna look into nitrous
Im running a bone stock bottom and cam with 15 psi AND 2 50 shots of nitrous. I've had this setup for 4 years now and its still running strong. The only engine mods are on the valve train because that much boost plus nitrous = bent pushrods. and power-robbing valve float.sigpic

If i were you, id spend money on ARH cam and everything needed for a cam. Save up for a year (or use tax money) then buy spray. That way you can get sued to the car on the cam, then pay a few extra bills to get the car retuned for spray. (even with a nitrous tune, you dont lose much, car might be .1 or .2 slower off the bottle). but with a cam and spray, your flirting with low 13s high 12s depending on how you set up the rest of the car. Orrrr save yourself a ton of headache, sell your v6 and take out a loan for an ls1!
I would daily drive a cam/sprayed fbody 3800, not a turbo one though, id have to have another car.Last edited by whitdog54; 02-01-2012, 11:18 AM.

Re: confused ...
100 shot = 300hp at the crank, these cars dyno around 160whp stock. A decent N20 kit is going to be about $450, in my area bottle fill up is around 50-75. Say it's $50 a fill and you hit the track 5 times a year with a full bottle. You have $450 initial $30 for plugs and $250 a year for bottle fill ups, plus you still don't get to do those random mustang beatings when the come up beside you late at night on an open highway ;)
I make 400whp and 430wtq, totally bone stock motor. Motor has so far shown stock reliability, although I am fairly easy on it because I don't wanna lose my rear end lol.
A cam, to me, on an N/A 3800 is a waste of time and money, unless you go with something stupid large. Then the bigger the cam the more you need to do (Valve springs, timing chain, retainers etc..)
Why would you DD a cam'd and spray 3800 Fbody, when a turbo car like mine, is faster and gets better mileage? I daily drove an IS3 Grand Prix and it was fine if I was just cruising down the highway or something. But in town or in traffic my mileage was horrendous because of huge cam, my lights would dim and come up at street lights etc.. the car would vibrate pretty good and the women were always like "why is that happening to your car!?" sigh lol.
To everyone who keeps asking, YES BONE STOCK MOTOR. No cam, no valve springs, no rockers...nothing. I have some pics of the old kit but they're really crappy I posted them up here before. I will try for some better stuff next week just got too busy this week.Last edited by Meemperor; 02-01-2012, 12:39 PM.

Re: confused ...
when u cam a car u have to get some heads also and those are expensive, i found a cam for 500 and would still need it installed and im getting some midtube headers , and my exhaust and getting it tuned. maybe gonna spray 100 shot on the stock motor idk if it will take it tho.
