Almost promise you'll hate the sound of an SLP muffler... especially if you go Loudmouth.

Look around at some exhaust clips on the site, personally I run a Dynomax Super turbo, and it's a cult following. To most of us it's that or a Borla. Or duals. I've had Magnaflow, flowcrapster, and Dynomax, hated the frist 2, love my current. Compliments galore.

I'm totally surprised nobody has mentioned it.

Red, look at the Abbott Racing Heads NA cam. It has some of the best times on otherwise stock engines. Add nitrous and you're on your way to running really good times. They're based out of Crane, TX I think.

One guy on another board went:
12.2 on 100 shot and 13.5 Cam only with an ARH NA cam down in houston, so add a few more tenths due to your altitude and there you go.

Add some good headers, a stall and sticky tires and you're good to go. You could always go with something like the Summit turbo muffler 3" from the I pipe on back out the tips and run a cutout if you really desire.

                        Re: confused ...

See my post. If you're sticking with all motor or going nitrous, the ARH NA cam can't be beaten unless you go with some crazy stock eliminator camshaft that eats valvesprings for breakfast.

It has the highest NA power over all the other off the shelf grind cams. You will need to get it tuned, but that shouldn't be too hard. You're in Odessa, just have the PCM sent to Texas Speed & Performance here in Lubbock or PCMForless. I am willing to bet they have a tune setup using that camshaft in their history.

It also comes down to how much money you want to spend.

                        For headers:
Pacesetter is mild steel and usually the cheapest
OBX is stainless steel and a direct copy of the Pacesetter headers
RKSport headers are kind the mid range
CIA Headers are the best design for mid length headers but more expensive (excellent quality though)
Force Fed Fabs Longtube headers are the best overall, but expensive to many people in the V6 community at just over $700.

Mind you, we have a guy in the community that ran 12s cam only with stock manifolds/exhaust. It's not easy, but it can be done.

i replied to yours but it didnt come up. i was looking at zzperformance and there cams slide right in. without nothing being changed. i was thinking one of them. its my dd and ima run at the track. i wanted to do a 100 dry shot. not sure yet tho. i might just get headers and theshot

It is a good idea to replace the valve springs when you do a cam job. Abbotts is one of the best and if you're replacing the springs, might as well go with it. Many guys have DD'd the abbott cam, including Lance Abbott himself.

                                Re: confused ...

High mile valvesprings are actually gonna be worn out, and won't have quite the strength/durability that they had when they were brand new.

If you run a more aggressive camshaft with either or even both a higher lobe lift or a wider LSA, you're putting more stress on the valvesprings along with the timing chain tensioner which is under a spring load as well. This becomes even more apparent when you start running it in the higher RPM range.

It is just a little peace of mind. You can always replace the valvesprings later if you find you're getting valve float, but it is easier to do it all while you're in there in the first place lol!
