  • Calling all Powerdyne (GET IN HERE NOW!!!)

I think this is good news that will solve our slippage problem permanently.

Dayco is willing to make a straight double ribbed serpentine belt at 103.5" length for a minimum quantity.

The rep hasn't given me any price yet, but I figure since this is a custom made belt that it would be up there in a couple of hundreds. I will definately try and find out ASAP.

If anybody want to get into a group purchase with me perhaps we could all save some money.

    What do you think?

I got this in the email today from Jim at Dayco:

            >I will need for you to go thru our sales department to get a price.
Are you a direct ship customer? What company do you represent.
What is your location and phone number and I will have sales call you.

            Jim<

So hopefully I'll hear something from sales tomorrow and I give you guys an update.

My modified version of the JD power wrap

note I had to make a custom bracket for this to work. but adding the water pump back helps with slack buildup on the non tension side of the crank pully.

Right, I remember now. Sorry. I like your wrap version though. More wrap on the AC.

it allows you to run the power wrap without messing with the oil neck thing.
Also all the slack is created coming off that side of the crank, so the accesories help difuse the slack before it gets to the blower pully.

If you cant get enough people to throw in on a group by, maybe running the cross cut SC pulley with a bigger idler pulley (if it will fit) would be at least better than what we have now. Im thinking a bigger idler would maybe give us more wrap on the SC (from 60% to 70% or 80%)
