Alright guys so I finially ordered my got my ceramic PD bearings from superchargerrebuilds.com so hopefully this weekend or next I will be installing the blower back on the car. I am in the process of polishing out the buggers in the volute(by hand). I WILL be installing the unit with the DOUBLE SIDED belt. So maybe soon we will have found a cure for the PD slipping.

I will post pictures of the polished out volute, impeller shaft, and installed on the car. To my knowledge the only smooth pulley that will be left on the car is the WP pulley.

This is the best I could get the volute by hand. I didnt want to polish it too much and create ecessive clearance.


If any of you end up running this belt it takes some work to get it on between the crank and the power steering. There is minimal clearance between the belt, but it does not rub on itself. This double sided belt is extremely thick.






Overall I really like the new setup. I would like to run a smaller pulley but I want to make sure everything is in order first. The SC NEVER slips, with the right tension and some dressing it builds boost fast, I see 3 psi at 2K nad it just builds to 6k.

Yeah, that's pretty tight. It's also pretty tight on my tensioner. I have the original RKSports bracket. I see you have the copy with a screw tensioner.

Are you using the regular pulley on your PD? Did you use any spacers?

I'm using a very old heavy steele 8 rib 3" pulley. I want to see if I could buy a brand new one.

Yeah, boost is 30% better and it comes on a lot sooner. I don't know what my full boost is because it's been raining a lot in my area.

My PD originally came with a 6 rib 2.97" pulley. I havent had to use any spacers, its pretty even if not off by maybe one rib

I wanted to add a W2A intercooler a while back. but I dont drive the car that much and meth is lighter/cheaper/easier.

How did you get the bearing out of the case the one that is behind the large gear? I was thinking about using a slide hammer to yank it out.

Slide hammer and blind hole puller will work, but I have never replaced it. If it ain't broke don't fix it lol. The hard part would be getting the gear itself out.

The hardest thing period was getting the belt back on.....PITA!!

I've been thinking about going with the scorpion kit, there is no reason why I shouldn't the only thing holding me back is that $2000 price tag for the headunit.

The scorpion and/or raptor are pretty much a knock off of Powerdyne. From what I hear they are no better other than upgraded bearings, belt, and impellers, which you do with the PD through 928. Since Powerdyne company has closed its business copies of this head unit has been coming out of the woodwork, especially in Aussie.

BTW man the thing that strayed me away from the A2W setup was really the reserve tank. If you can find a good place for it besides the trunk I may convert too.

Its capabilities are still higher than that of the DB11a series. More CFM, higher boost, no belt, less failures. Mustang guys are running 600HP with the XB1a
