I've pretty much abandoned the idea for a 5.3 vortec engine. I'm buying a Thunderbird sc for 200. What else do I need to make it function properly and for it to be impressively quick?

What do you have a 3.8 or 3.4? Grapeofwrath did an awesome job with his 3.4 with that kind of SC.

Either way you would have to install this in a remote way.

Or you could just buy the m90 of a gtp and modify it

Or just put an entire L67 block in. That way you get the strong bottom end with lower compression.

BTW, I have a thread in the forced air section on how to do the swap. It is very involved.

GenV m90 off a 04+ GTP. The Tbird supercharger is a gen III I think so it would be the same as the SC I have on mine. However, I don't know if the Tbird mouting is the same as a GM M90.
