Yeah, I noticed that it's up 200 dollars from the original price and the ones for LS1s didn't. So that means V6 crowd are snatching them up. Hopefully we'll see them post here.

    Take some pics Steve.

That's a big gouge. I don't know how durable jb welds would be in the long run.

Yeah, I decided to have it welded, only other thing I would use would be rtv, but Im not going to risk it . Its $85 an hour to have it welded, hopefully it won't go over an hour .

Should ship out Monday, ill post some pics when I get them. Im pretty excited to see them, then off to the welder to fix the gouge. Came to $245 with return shipping. Then it was $62 to ship them to him. My suggestion is use UPS if your shipping yours, mine was 2 days late and damaged, that's using USPS.

One thing to remember, when shipping them make sure their packed very well and use UPS if you can. Plus their cheaper than USPS by like $15-20.

Also broke one of the lower intake studs off , it was bent , so hammered it back into place, went to put the nut on and when tightening down it snapped. Taking it with me to see if they can put another stud in it.

Took the intakes in, $100 to fix both. Thought its reasonable, I think Im just going to use a bolt in place of the stud. After he removes the broken piece.

Was the issue with your intakes the source of the water leaking into your engine you had earlier Steve?

No, these are just spare intakes, thought since I did the heads these would be good for porting and polishing, should get them on late next year when the ST5 cam and double roller timing chain goes in. Still don't know why it leaked like it did but after a new cowl and some heavy duty sealant it hasn't leaked yet. I can wash it with no problems. I keep it under the carport now so not too much rain or snow gets on it. I don't want to risk it with the Amosil oil and filter, that would get mighty expensive.lol Got new fuel injector o-rings to go in just to rule them out.

That's really nice. I can't even tell where the gouge was.

where did you go for the port and polish.

Sent them off to WOT-tech in Indiana, oh the gouge is there , found another spot when I dropped them off to get repaired. He said after hes done with them , i might need the upper milled down for a flat surface, no biggie.
