I hate guessing games, someone needs to get on a dyno. I would think anything less then 300RWHP is unacceptable considering how much that kit is going to cost and the price to pay someone to install it. They run that on stock internals?

Stock internals with a little PCM programming. Not something I would venture to do.

I thought 10#s on stock internals was sketchy...but whatever. Say a little prayer for those piston ring lands and connecting rods....
Guess thats why its called "beta testing"...hehe
Then again I'm helping someone with a 750HP turbo LT1, and hes running the stock muncie 4 spd...sure those things are strong...but 750...heh...I bet the thing doesn't break too. I've seen those things break under stock 300HP conditions, and that one put down 12.8 @116MPH spinning all the way down....like a champ.

I know I have only had this kit on for a little over a month, but it seems to be doing just fine on stock internals.

It's just sketchy, you got the kit for free right? So whatever it was free, there are LT1/LS1 cars out there running SCs with mixed results. (98' 3.8s aren't forged are they?) Some guys blow their ring lands running 6#s of boost after 5,000 miles, some guys run 14#s of boost on stock and have 30,000 miles with no problems. Its almost luck of the draw, but definately would sit in the back of my mind every time I put the pedal to the floor knowing all my faith is in stock rods/pistons. Granted, never running lean, and good tuning is a must. I'm no expert with forced induction, but I've been around enough. If I have 350HP, I'm going to use it, not just be glad that I have it. Maybe you V6 guys don't have as bad a problem...but I've heard some HORRIFIC ring land stories from V8 guys on other forums....did they even consider upgrading your bottom end?

quote:
Bobrules, if you have time and some money you can come and have my car dynoed, and then you will be satisfied

Where you getting your car dynoed? I want to get mine dynoed if the price is right (100$ or so) I have no idea where any dyno places are around me. I'm exit 22 on 295. I'm on hold waitin for subframe connectors....my ttops don't leak, 400lbs of torque...I want my ttops to stay that way. I'm probably in no better finacial shape then you, but theres always a way to muster some money. I still owe 500$ in credit card charges for my engine, but I work...I know I'll have money coming in. Borrow the 'rents CC, the bill won't come in for a month :D

How'd they work it? Just a price drop?
Just a thought....no top speed runs...probably even after it's "tuned" and dyno and 100%. Am I the only one who is worried about 10#s on a stock bottem end? Not trying to scare ya...but I'm just genuinely interested in what the kits doing, my buddy wants to SC his 3.8 maro. Are the 3.8s forged? Anyone know?

I dynoed 270ish rwhp but that was with the wrong impeller on my charger. I have not had the chance to dyno since i got the new impeller, but i will tell you one thing, it is definately running stronger. I am hoping to get 390-310rwhp. I am sure thats what Red is going to dyno at.

YES, I am also hoping for 390!!!

I seriously doubt it on 10lbs of boost. Maybe 290 but not even close to 390.
