Hey Shirl,
Thanks! We should run at the track sometime. hehehe
The MAFT allows you to adjust the fuel mixture by changing a base setting and also the WOT setting. With LT1 injectors I'm running 10% lean on the base but haven't tuned any at WOT yet. The MAFT+ adds a timing adjustment feature, I was using this when running N/A but have unhooked that part of it after the blower install. Now I'm using the Crane unit to retard timing instead of advance it.
The MAFT does work on the L67 and L36 cars. Here is some more info on it from www.ramchargers.com
----------
The Translator + is a stand alone unit that attaches to the stock wiring harness on a Turbo Buick, LT1 powered F or B body and now on the L67 supercharged V6 GTP or GSE. It's simple operation allows you to adjust the air fuer ratio andspark timing across the RPM band. Timing can be advanced or retarded up to 14 degrees. A variable retard based on RPM is also availble for NOS or Supercharged applications Timing can be advanced at the low end and then retarded at higher RPMS or it can be tailored in other ways to suite any needs. The air fuel ratio can also be tuned using the Translator to make different parts of the RPM bands richer or leaner. An MAF limiter is included to stop high MAF code on supercharged LT1 applications and to stop ECM MAF reset on Turbo Buicks. The Translator will also allow the Turbo Buick to convert from the now discontinued stock MAF sensor to the new style high flow 3 or 3.5 GM sensors. Our extender chip for the Turbo Buick will double the MAF range of the stock computer from 255 gr/sec to 512 gr/sec. This will provide much better fuel control than any other system when using the stock computer. We recommend the use of a scan tool like our Scanmaster to provide feedback for proper adjustment.
