I 'm preping my ride to have the procharger kit put in my car, but what ignition should I get, or is one being offered with the kit?? Also, which gauges are suggested, I'm only using the 3-pod pillar so please the 3 most important ones, and why I need those 3. I don't have money to put in a laptop or anything so please keep it to gauges.

Thanks
Matt

MSD-DIS-4, accel coil packs, taylor wires, and either NGK or Bosch platinum spark plugs. 3 gauges: air/fuel, fuel pressure, and Boost. air/fuel to see if you're running lean or rich and where, fuel presswure to see if you're maxing out your injectors and when, and boost to see when you're making x amount of boost.

ummmmm i could be a little off but ummmmmmmmmm platinum is not recomended for power adder aplications and you would wanna go with a colder plug like a NGK 6 or whatever the hell its called

air fuel ratio gauge does basicly jact to tell you how rich you are or lean you are its kinda gay if you ask me with all the color lights get something more functional

cant afford a 200 dollar labtop and 250 for auto tap but 400 or so for guages is ok? yes i would go with boost and probly fuel pressure but hell thats like min. 200 bucks right there. thats all you would really need having 3 is to many really unless your a freak and like to watch your trans temp or something like that

i say make the 3rd guage a nitrous pressure guage hehe blown and nosed

I know I have to get colder plugs(what size??), but isn't their an easier choice to going around this. The kit is hard enough to save for, so I'm trying to choose the most necessary things first. Would it be alright for me just to run the DIS-4 and colder plugs? Also , I don't have 400+ to spend on a laptop and autotap, but a 200 hundred is more reasonable. Thats why I asked NATMAN or maybe a beta tester what/ if an ignition system is suggested for this kit, and if it will be coming w/ it.

Thanks for your inputs.

You don't have to spend tons of money on A/F guages. With $10-$15 and a little soldering skill you can make your own.

Please do not get any platinum plugs. Bill has found that regular old AC Delcos work best. I will try and find you a part number.

Yeah BATMAN I knew to stay away from platinum, I've heard before they're not hot on power adders, but do we have to do anything else but colder plugs, for the procharger system? I know typical procharger systems do not need an ignition or timing retard because the air is coming in so cold. If you could clear this up, it would be highly appreciated.

I did buy a MSD ignition DIS 4... not sure if this is the MSD that Bill will want to use for the kits. Infact with PCM tuning, i don't think it will b needed because we should be able to just adjust the settings.

Think of it this way. Why invest 300 on a MSD retard when you can spend 200 and get the pcm tuning which will do that and more?

I will find out today when the PCM is going to be tuned. I heard that they tested the new calibration on another PCM and it worked perfectly. Its just a matter of getting the guy with the Tech 2 to come out there and reprogram my PCM. Will let you know as soon as i find out something...

Thanks Ryan, I really don't look forward into dropping more cash into an ignition. Also the $4200 for the kit is that w/ pcm tuning and how exact is that price right now? I'm saving as much as possible but if its going to be hard as it is to save that much? Any ideas on how much and the exact list of things to come w/ the kit. Thanks so much. If you want you can E-mail the list, too.
later,
Matt
