PROBLEM- car has been making weird mis fire noise (machine gun sound) for months.----------------------------------------------------------------------------I changed the spark plugs 3 times and noise still comes after engine get some boost--------------------------------------------------------------Thought it might be the powerdyne bearings going but I still get good boost, I decided to take off the outlet pipe to see if the problem was the supercharger or not.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Noise is gone now....The charger is still spinning cas all I did was take off the pipe. That also means the bearings are defiently fine cas the noise would still be there.------------------------------------------------------------------------Car is bascicly running stock now (sucks...I didnt realize how much of a difference it was when your blown till now) So I have narrowed the problem down to these things.-----------------------------------------------------------------1-AIR= The air from the charger is just too much for my exhaust right now for whatever reason... exhaust leak... Pressure???----------------------------------------------------------------------2-FUEL= The added air from my charger tells the FMU to send in 100-120 pounds of fuel pressure vrs the 45-60 pounds Im presently seeing now. The powerdyne SHOULD get roughly between 70-90 fuel psi so Im defiently running rich. But why did that fuel pressure work so good for me before months ago???? The first day I heard this machine gun noise from the exhaust was immediently after using a 104 octane booster from Chevron with my gas. Possibility of running rich and using octane booster every since then a bad deal for me?------------------------------------------------------------------3-BROKEN STUFF= The AIT sensor in my outlet pipe is completely melted. No way it's reading anything. Possibly causing the ecu to not know whats going on and mismatch the air and gas????-------Oil pressure sendind unit/ switch is completely missing. My mechanic says that when the ecu cant read the oil presuure that it can tell the fuel to shut off for saftey reasons.---------------------------------------------------------------4-I KNOW= Those are both easy fixes and I will get them done ... BUT am I missing anything????? I know many of you are much more knowledgeable on FI than me (although you do learn alot real quick when moneys involved and stuff dosent work right, He he) but Hell man some of you have BUILT your own FI systems so who am I right. Please give me any pointers that you thank could also need to be checked.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------It's very personal to me to figure this thing out now. You TURBO guys are doing so good now that Im gonna have to get this thing to drop my time 1.5 seconds better than my before time to even be close to your before and after times. Dam turbos!!!!!!!! I remember when dropping a secong from FI was a decent deal, Then YOU GUYS had to jump the standard up to 2 seconds off your before time. BASSSTTTAAARRRDDDZZZZZZZZ!!!! HE HE just kidding but please help if you can guys.

Where my turbo y pipe connects to my manifolds. But yeah sounds basically like a machine gun noise that increases porportionally with RPM.AIM: escalier deverre
\'02 Pearl Blue Metallic RSX-S (daily driver)
\'98 Black Firebird
98 V6 turbocharged to 02 LS1 swap
\'02 LS1/4L60E
LS6 Block, LS6 Intake Manifold, Thunder Racing 215/220 .600/.523/115 Cam, Titanium Retainers, Crane Double Valve Springs, 125 shot NX Wet Kit w/ NOS brand Purge, True Dual \"H\" Pipe w/ two chambers and dumps, 17x11(rear) and 17x9.5(front) Black Powdercoated ZR1 Replicas on 315 and 275 BFGoodrich Comp T/A\'s (Street)/ET Drags/Skinnies on Weldlites(Track), 3.42/LSD

Machine gun sound?? Under the hood? I'm thinking detonation, spark knock, ping....
If so, then you need to take out some timing advance. Or you're running lean.
I'm thinking timing. The IAT sensor issue may be making the pcm think the air is cold, and it may be bumping the timing up.
Some autotap monitoring will show you the o2 readings for the rich/lean question, and the knock retard will tell you if the pcm is trying to remove timing advance.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

No, it's definately an exhaust leak. I've had it before and I can feel it with my hand. Just need to get ahold of a 14mm deep socket so I can fix it.AIM: escalier deverre
\'02 Pearl Blue Metallic RSX-S (daily driver)
\'98 Black Firebird
98 V6 turbocharged to 02 LS1 swap
\'02 LS1/4L60E
LS6 Block, LS6 Intake Manifold, Thunder Racing 215/220 .600/.523/115 Cam, Titanium Retainers, Crane Double Valve Springs, 125 shot NX Wet Kit w/ NOS brand Purge, True Dual \"H\" Pipe w/ two chambers and dumps, 17x11(rear) and 17x9.5(front) Black Powdercoated ZR1 Replicas on 315 and 275 BFGoodrich Comp T/A\'s (Street)/ET Drags/Skinnies on Weldlites(Track), 3.42/LSD
