• Fuel pressure

I'm just curious what the stock fuel pressure is off the regulator. I'm installing the FMU this weekend and I don't have the turbo hooked up yet, so I don't want to basically flood the car with fuel. My Walbro is installed so I'm just wondering what I have to adjust the FP to. Also, running 6-10 psi what is the average FP?

Yet one more silly question. I'm starting to believe that I'm going to have some problems getting the boost piping the way I want it, but I'm getting antsy about putting the turbo on. Would it hurt the turbo to be basically boosting into the atmosphere with it wastegated at zero? What I'm asking is....can the turbo be spooling without piping hooked up to the intake?
Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD....you wanna hit it, but you\'re affraid of the consequences...

http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=244935

The stock FP is about 39-40 psi. When you install the FMU there will be no problems at all with excess pressure because you won't have any boost. The return line runs free from the fuel rail through the Cartech FMU all the way back to the tank. If you want to use the static adjustment, then you will have to hollow out the fuel pressure regulator or find a plugging device for where the factory unit seats. WARNING: I WOULD NOT "F" WITH CUTTING OR ALTERING THE
FACTORY RAIL FOR YOUR FMU IN ORDER TO GET STATIC PRESSURE ADJUSTMENTS!!! It may be better to just use it for boost instead. I have not tried to alter the factory FP either so good luck. Its only $60 bucks and an engine on fire and you meeting your maker if it fails :D (Do you know
Jesus?) The rubber fuel injection hose can be slid over the factory raill in the return line, and use two clamps on both sides of the beveled lip to hold it in place. Remember that it is 5/16 hose.

Hey do me a favor and look into changing out those Rack & Pinion lines in order to get the charge pipe over the K-member. I will try to do some research too by finding out what type of fittings it uses. I know that Autozone has steel and flexible brake lines that could work. Either which way, if we can relocate them a 2 inch curved rubber radiator (or silicone piece like purosil) will fit easy over the K-member. Please keep me posted. I am still working out bugs in my remote system too!
