BATMAN, I was wondering if when I eventually get the ATI sc kit if I could go w/ a bigger sc? Instead of the P1SC going to a D1SC. basically, I figure if ur gonna lose power by having the extra pulley, why not get more boost and cooler air out of it using a bigger sc. I'm relating these sc's to roots-type sc's cuz guys have kept the same pulley for their blowers but gotten a bigger blower, giving them cooler temps and a little more boost. is this right, is this wise to do, and if both are correct, is this worth it to do when getting the kit?

A bigger sc is likely going to have different mounting points, and different sized pipes, etc.
If you didn't mind running the smaller pipe, then some minor modification in the mounting bracket *might* be necessary, assuming the SC wasn't so big that it wouldn't fit in the same spot.
Adding the next larger size of supercharger could probably be done w/ out major modification to the kit, but really, the P1-SC is more than adequate if your not racing for money.2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'

I was just wondering cuz ATI's sc kit for LS1's has an option to upgrade to a D1-SC, so I was just wondering if that could be done down the road or during planning for the kit in the Beta stage. It's the next step up(i think) in their sc line. I like having everything being really efficient, and that's why I'd love to see someone come out w/ a carb legal turbo kit for out cars, like greddy has done w/ imports, since turbo's don't leech off power from the crank to make power. but since running a bigger blower at the same speed as a smaller one makes the same power but heats the air less, more tuning flexibility is gained. I dunno if it'll fit or not, but that would be a good thing to check out during the testing of all this, especially for those who plan on getting low-compression pistons and want a ton of boost to be achieved via the blower.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
