The way to hook up a turbo on a vee engine is to take the exhaust from both banks and join it then go into the turbo. I took the pass-side and driver-side, joined them then went into the turbo where you see it. And Tiago is right, you have to get creative. I thought I knew what I wanted to do after looking around and feeling around several times under the car, but once I got under there with bends of exhaust tubing and a saws-all it took me about 4 weeks(while haveing a 40hr/wk job) to get everything cut, fitted, and welded the way I wanted. The LT1 thottle body isn't requiered, I just wanted it, and a guy who worked in the machine shop where I work did that for me since it would have been crap if I would have tried it myself. I just gave him some basic CAD drawings and pictures of what I wanted and he went wild. But as far as the exhaust goes, if you're competent at cutting, fitting, and welding, eyeballing, holding your mouth right, ect, then you should be able to pull it off. But don't expect to do it overnight. I didn't even weld my stuff myself cuz I'm not a good welder. I just cut everything, fit and marked it then took the pipes to a guys house who has a welder and I told him what and where to weld. Oh, and for the exhaust dumping out of the turbo that usually goes into the rest of the exhaust system(ie: pipes, cats, mufflers) mine does just that...dumps out of the turbo, there is about a 3 foot leak in my exhaust system....
on the 3.4L a t25 is a good starter turbo, but if you want serious power, you will need to upgrade. That was the initial plan with me.
