  • Supercharger pass emissions?

Ok, I'm very seriously considering a charger next summer, but I need to know if it will effect emmisions at all.

I'd assume that because all of the exhaust is still going through the cat that I'm still good. Will all of the extra air or anything else cause an SES light?

Mass. is strict, but not quite as strict as Cali. We do the OBDII test and run it on a dyno every other year. So I'd have to be careful of SES lights too. My bird is my daily driver/only vehicle to drive so I want to be safer than sorry.

Any experience with a blower and emmisions is appreciated!

As long as it's set up and tuned right you should be fine w/ SES lights and emissions.

According to Powerdyne the 6lbs is ok but not the 9lbs. Here in Cali I had to take mine off. Actually I had my car smogged just last month and it passed. I asked the guy if he saw my SC under the hood and he said he would fail me when it comes to visual. I was sort of curious if I left and they did the test, would it have passed.

Say do you have a picture of your car. I sure would like to see that hood.

Here's the address for the pics I have. Most of them aren't very good pictures, but you'll get the idea.

Thanks for your response by the way!
Do you have any idea why the 9 lbs won't work as opposed to the 6 lbs?

That is truely and extremely really nice car. I just saw what mine could look like if I had the hood, rims are nice touch too.

But man, your car looks fast just standing still. You definately need to put a SC along with whisper lid and ram air kit to make it a fast car.

Thanks for the pics. I am printing each one of them.

Oh, I don't know why PD said that 9lbs won't pass. But you know it really isn't that hard to remove and reinstall when it comes to smogging and your car will pass.

Thanks for the compliments! I appreciate it!

Have you been to the track with the charger? Before/after times? Hp? Tq? Just curious as to what sort of gains you've got with the powerdyne. Thanks for your help with this!!
