  • I almost fell for this Scam!

I was looking at the electric superchargers claiming 20+hp, and almost bought one if it wasn't for this guy. I bid on his ad for $1.00, it was TOTALLY worth it for the money he saved me from these Jerkoff scammers!

The sad thing is that there are a lot of young kids with cars out there that actually bought one of those bilge blowers.

No, I didn't get one. I was just messing around and typed "Supercharger" in the search box, and those electric things came up. I thought about it, but then I stumbled upon that guy's ad. If I didn't see his ad prior to the page I was on, who knows what would've happened. He makes alot of sense though, not to knock you and if you would like to get one, but he talks about if/when the plastic blades break and get directly into the intake manifold, then !BOOM! Your doing an engine rebuild! Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't, but I don't want to be the one to experiment.

the amount of "boost" those things give is lower than what your car sucks in on it's own through a cold air induction package. definetely a moron-mod--no offense to you, but the product, yes.

The concept of using a marine exhaust blower is crappy, but the idea of an electric fan to force air in isn't that bad. If someone could design an inline fan made of high quality composites, that could withstand the high rpms it would be placed under, it would be a neat product. You could mount a separate battery and run it in short bursts, using the free spinning fan blades to charge the battery when not in use. Just an engineering daydream. It's better than working LOL.

About the only way you could get an electric fan to work properly is to go get a real supercharger and then a superpowered electric motor and run the supercharger off it.

Your engine is quite a bit more powerful at pulling air than any fan that could be run off a car's electric system.

Sheeyat ... if you thought your blower was bad ... look at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1857368446

I'm a mod an all, and shouldn't be posted junk like this, but WOW ... $40 for what looks like a wire connector.

Ask him if he feels an increase in power. Then laugh at him when he says YES!
