I see alot of people want a kit.I can say that the
profit has to be in the mix for any company to
offer a quality product. I will have to buy a
car and do alot of R&D so there is a large investment on my part. The price I quoted is on the
high side this was to see the intrest. The turbo
will be a T/4 60-1.This is not my first kit and
I have over 12 years of turbo background.I will
do a 3.8 kit first.I dont think the older V6 is a strong enough motor.I will do a kit at cost if someone wants to supply a donor car other wise I will purchase a test mule.I am in central Alabama if some one can offer a car.I should be able to build a kit in 2-3 weeks ready for the dyno.I am lookin for 150+ increase on 93 octane fuel.If all goes well the kit could be in production for delivery in 6-8 weeks.Keep the response commin!
    Thanks,Keith

Older V6 not strong enough? I know you aren't talking about the 3.4L. That thing is tough as nails.

Central AL huh? You're just a hop skip and a jump away then.

Your definitely not the first to talk about building a kit.

            Some advice:
            1. I'm not saying you can't do it, I don't know you, but that's just the problem, give us some examples of your work. Many people here are very cautious about what they buy. I know plenty of people that have been doing shoddy work for 12+ years.
            2. A fact about this board whether the members want to admit it or not is that we are all cheap. Offering several versions of the turbo would not be a bad idea.
            3. There is an ATI Supercharger kit in the works, better prove your product to be a serious competitor & have just as much if not more headroom in case someone wants to go a little crazy (rebuild the engine & such)

I don't mean to come off attacking you, I don't intend to do that, but you must understand that I am skeptical and have good reason to be considering past experiences.

All that being said, I for one can say that once (if ever) I get up to spending 3-4k on a turbo or supercharger, 500 bucks isn't that much of a difference. So if you charged 3500, but that ATI was superior, I would go for the ATI.

On the other hand, if your product is superior and cheaper, then well, you would leave me little choice.

            Good luck on your endeavour.

4CDFED, just so you know the 3.4 is a very stout motor and comes with a lower static CR (9:1) so it's better for boost.

This is the feed back I need! The 3.4 is also in
the mix.I have already got the design done for
the 3.4 done.I was just worried about the 3.4
holding the power.I saw some problems with the 3.4
in other cars.I have thick skin so critics dont
bother me.I would not buy a kit from some one who
gets upset over questions.I have been involved
in the design of 7 production kits.I have been a
turbo builder/supplier for many kits.We are now
also building kits.I supply to mustang,C5 vette,
                    BMW,and 10 import kit companys.We are building
a twin turbo kit for the 5.4 and the 6.0 GM truck
platform. This kit will fit all truck/SUVs built
on this chassis. We will start work soon on the
Supra TT kits.I see alot of niche marktet cars
like the V6 Camaro/Firebird that has not been
done yet.I also have a Stage 2 twin turbo Buick
Grand National rare car that is almost finished.
I bought my first GN in 1990 and been in love with
turbos from that day. This is why I know you guys
                    need a turbo kit!
                    Thanks,Keith

I am open to any info. or comments that will
make this system better.I will be using a tial wastegate.I will be locating the intercooler
in front of the motor with a scoop. This will be
sort of like the Turbo Buick. The front mount style
blocks the incoming air and over heating on a forced induction system = detonation.I think the
stock headers could be used on the kit by bringing
them into a collector at the turbo.I want to keep
the cost low so this could be a option. The turbo
has to sit high enough to gravity feed back to the
pan or a costly electric return pump will be needed. The PCM is already solved due to the truck
kit.The fuel system will be a Walbro in tank pump
42lbs Ford lightning injectors and a billet fuel
pressure regulator.K&N filter all aluminum intake
piping, most important of all a detailed insruction
book.I will also be happy to take tech.questions.
I think that this is were most Companys fall short. The website will have instructions for down-
load this will be for lost insructions or if you
sell your kit to someone later.I m sorry for being
long winded.I want to give as much info up front.
                          Thanks,Keith

One thing I do not like about most turbo kits I see is that they use manifolds or something similar.

I would definitely like to have the option to have a more free-flowing exhaust than that.

Again, cheap option & balls-out option. If you want the business, you really need both.

Would definitely be nice to see it happen though.

                                JUST MAKE A TUBING KIT!!!
                                SELL IT CHEAP!!!

That way we can determine what size turbo we want. The turbo's, fmu's, bov's, and so on can all be purchased off ebay cheaply. No one has been able to make the tubing for the 3.8, do that and you'll be our hero.
