What to check first?

I have been thinking in the posibility to have a powerdyne or vortex, but for a long time I have heard commentaries about been careful if I do it. A shop guy showed me several mitsubishi style turbocharged cars that were left to him because the car didn't resist the high combustion. Other shop guy says that several guys install turbos or supers without checking several stuff like gaskets, seals, etc. He mentioned other things to be checked that I don't remember. What are the things to be checked before to buy a supercharger?

Your head and your checkbook. Nothing else will really matter.

There's nothing that you need to do to the engine other than the TB. As long as you run a medium amount of boost you are OK.

I think your mechanics are showing you burned up ricer cars. They were probably running 15 or more psi on a stock, old little car.

The supercharger kits (rksport powerdyne) is only 6 psi.

Custom turbos can be much higher that that.

People seem to be just fine at 6 psi and at 9 psi as well.
