I got tiago's 3.4L kit, cam it, and get full exaust work done. I realise this is way early for any reliable numbers but I was just wondering if any body could give me an estimate. What cam would you get for a FI car?
Please no more flam wars on numbers, I just would like a best guess.

a desktop dyno will usually give you a decent idea how much power you will have with a given setup. I'd try one of those if it's absolutely killing you wondering how much power you'll have. On one of the Grand Nationals we built, the desktop dyno was within 15hp (at the crank), of what the engine actually ended up having.

How many psi do you want to run that is the big question?
What are the specs of your cam?
Not to many after market cams are good for boost unless there slightly bigger than stock, there made for N/A applications. Mechanical cams are a big no no, way to much valve over lap and the lutani 228/228 duration cam is about the same.
For higher boost you will want polished combustion chambers and valve bottems.
A porting job will help a lot to.
You can check out my car domain site for some ideas on P&P for FI.

well the motor is stock and I wont have the money to get stronger internals so it would be a low boost like maybe 6-8#. I was just wondering what cam would compliment the boost more.

You would want what I call a weaner cam a little bit bigger than stock but not worth the $160-$200 you would have to spend on it.
It would be worth it on a turbo engine, but not realy on N/A engine.
You would want nothing bigger than a what I have which is a crane cam # 2-272-H it has 216*/228* at 112 LSA with plenty of lift.
Unless it is a nitrous, turbo cam or small blower cam, what your going for a wide LSA with the more duration you have.
For low boost you might want a larger weaner cam like a edelbrock 204*/214* you can keep you stock valve springs too, summit part ELD-3790 with lifters is $129 (good price!!!).
