  • any turbo 3.4's here?

i'm currently building a custom turbo setup for my 95 3.4 an was wondering what turbo's you were all running.
i'm looking for help choosing the correct turbo for my application. I am buildign the whole engine to run on FI, prolly round 10-12 psi. I wish to spool by 3000. i'm looking for 350-400 rwhp. I have a 5 speed. I'm looking for a quality, new turbo for around or less than 700 from a reputable distributor. So far, i'm lookin for a .70-.80 a/r exhaust trim and about a .70 or so intake a/r. what is everyone else running? thanks for the info.

For $700 I don't think you can get new turbos worth a crap. You could get slightly used turbos in great shape for no more then $700.
    I wouldn't trust new $700 turbos.
That a/r dosen't realy apply to any thing unless you have a turbo type and size all ready picked out.
Like my K03's the exhaust turbine housing is cast perpindicular to the turbine shaft (non-tangantal) and is trimed at .95 and the a/r is about .75 the compressor ar is unknown to me but I have the trim writen down some where.
But all my stuff is built around making power in the 2200-6000 range the turbos are matched to the cam the cam is roughly matched to the intake I'm going to make the header primarys out of 1 3/8 stainless to 1 1/4 SS with a 1 3/4'' collector.

oil pan, hey man, this is the turbo i'm looking at:
      http://www.sthperformance.com/store/product.php?p=98
id get it with teh .83 trim. what do you think? im not looking ot go real radical right away with the turbo. maybe ball bearing in the future, but not now. as far as your headers, are you making all the pipe yourself or do you have a kit in mind that already has bends? i'm looking for a kit. i ofund flanges already but i've only found mandrel bent pipe for the intercooler and such. thanks for all teh advice.
