Searched but I couldn't find the answer to this queston. I was wondering what intercooler would work with the powerdyne supercharger kit (rksport). I would prefer an air to air one.

i think a saab 900 intercooler would work pretty well for cheap mid level intercooling as well as being an easy to mount IC.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Yea the saab is an easy and cheap intercooler to make work......I was gonna use that but then decided to spend $200 more and get a Greddy intercooler. Probaly had the same cooling effect(I just liked to say the word Greddy)
Check page 2 of my site for pics... I recently sold it two Dreaded Hope.....He will be posting a before and after dyno of the intercooled 10 pound powerdyne set up.

Actualy it was 250$$$ and after shipping from Japan it (I think) was close to 300
I know I wrote a good write up of eveything needed to make it work....Just gotta search to find it..
The powerdyne has a VERY noticable power differeance with the intercooled set up.
According to my G tech I dropped another 7 tenths or so with my best run intercooled vrs my best run non intercooled.....I could really feel the differance as well...Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

You could start looking on ebay for any that looks close too the one in my pic...
What was kool about my desighn was that to my surprise I didnt ever have to actualy mount the intercooler....
The outlet pipe to the throttle body held it secure up top....
The inlet pipe from the powerdyne to the intercooler also gave it great support.
That was already 2 of 4 sides well secured (it only weighed 10 pounds)
But the real kicker was that all the hoses that hang down there ened p having to wrap around it very tightly..........
Plus the hoses made it push firmly up against the front sway bar...
Bottom line is I drove around with it for months and never had to actually boly theintercooler down.....
It's almost like it was just ment to be there.
If you could find the same ntercooler it would be perfect. (I literally put the inercooler on my self in 20-30 mnutes)
It was a Gredy FMIC that was 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches. The inlets are 2 1/2 inches or roughly 65 mmPowerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

It was really sadd... My car had a massive oil leak. I could get 0-60's and the 6 flat range but then still only pull high 14's low 15's...
I posted many times about my car getting 8-10 pounds in 1st and 2nd gear but then dropping to like 4 or 5 in third....
No one else ever seemed to have this problem...I now realize that the reason I coudnt make good boost in third was because there was oil all over my belt and pully....
I worked on and checked everything but the simplest things. I was blinded by the powerdyne love....
The oil leak go extremely bad and made the carundrivable. Bt I still did 1/4 miles with it anyways till I eventualy blew somthing up in engine......I guess I couldnt add quarts of oil quick enough.
Mechanic told me it would cost 1500-2000 to fix everything, so I sold my powerdyne (my dream) to cover the repairs.
Then my wife said that she didnt want to fix the car cas it would ust break down again and she wanted somthing with a warranty...
So we did a sight unseen and traded in the car for a 04 vette.
I was sad cas I thought the dream was ver but it isnt.
There a guy named Dreaded Hope on this board who is gonna let me live out my dream through his car.
He's doing before and after dynos and everything.....He already has the kit and you will all just waita lttle while you will be able tosee if it's actually worth intercooling your powerdyne or nt.
I PERSONALY THINK THAT THE RESULTS ARE GONNA LOW PEOPLE AWAY.Powerdyne 98 a4 convert

stock 16.6 @ 86

6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90

04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe

stock- 13.5 @ 103

LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107
http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98 ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

yeah the greddy would be a better option but you can get the saab for like 50 bucks on ebay. as for the mounting thats up to you, but i would think you could do it the same way that greenglow did. to me the saabs are the best your will find for the price. BTW (and this if off topic) how are you enjoying your new vette greenglow?2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard
