Got FMU working, takes it from 40-42 lbs FP to about 68-70. 70 is the highest I've seen it. A/F guage says ok during WOT runs. About 5 lbs boost. Never hit 6. Been thinking about a 9 lb pully. Had to add washer to back of tensioner pully. Still running weak though. Checked it on scanner, have a intermittent misfire in cylinder #1. Plug and wire OK. So maybe a coil pack? Injector? Am planning on the header install. Looks like a royal pain. I don't know where to start. Next Saturday for that if I get them by then. Found a LSD w/ 3:42's for $350. Maybe get that too. I don't know.... It seems like the transmission's mushy. Fluid ok. I thought maybe it's just the gear ratio and the crappy shifts being stock. With all of that hard work the engine is doing it just seems like it's not getting to the ground.

Sounds like you've come a long way from when you first starting asking questions on here...
Hard to say on that #1 misfire. You could move the coils around and see if it changes where the misfire occurs.
The 3.42's will really wake it up too.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next
v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock
v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp
Moderator on www.mtfba.org and www.frrax.com (Road Race & Autocross)
Car pics, TN Region SCCA

instead of the lsd with the 3.42 maybe get a one piece aluminum driveshaft first or at the same time if you can afford it, personally I think the 2 piece stockdrive shaft is a good power robber, as for the headers I took all the heat plate sheet metal crap off first then used a sawzall and cut the maniflods off as close to the engine as I could slowly so that they were out of the way and a 7/16 ratcheting wrench is your best friend good luckhttp://www.cardomain.com/profile/blackfbird_98

Good idea to swap coil packs around. I was going to suggest plugs. DOH! Missed that one.
Yep, get the misfire stuff figured out before you move on. Your car should not run worse at any rpm after the powerdyne. (maybe...just maybe some ruff idling at particular temperatures or AC on or OFF...but it should not be generaly crappy at any time.)
I think your 5 psi might be about 'tops' for the stock smooth pulley. Some people have gone all crazy with belt dressing (not recomended) and SEVERE tighting of the belt (not recomended) to get to 6 psi on a 6psi pulley for instance. Your 5 psi is far better than the 2 psi people used to get before dude came up with the belt wrap. Be happy. You car (whenever the sluggish problem gets corrected) WILL haul *** and be completly different.
Good job for sticking with it.

Congrats Jessica, you are definately on your way. Misfire should be an easy fix. If it is, just replace all of them with MSD. Kind of pricey though.
Stick with that pulley for now till you get the bugs out first. Then move to a 2.9.
You can get 5-7psi with that current pulley. Just wait awhile and you'll see.
3.42 and headers will make your car fast. Be sure to get HPtuner to tune for that 3.42.

Cool, Glad you like it. It's the least I can do to archive some of the specific inovations you guys have come up with for our cars. Thanks for the help.

Jessica, go for a coil pack upgrade. even if that doesn't fix your problem, you will see gains just from a stronger spark to light off ur boosted mix. it would be the first thing I'd check. supposedly 2000+ manifolds flow well stock, but headers might give you a decent gain based on your mods. If I were you, I'd go with a 3" cat first before you do headers, because my 3" gave me a lot more top-end over the 2.25". If you feel like upgrading the transmission, u might wanna go for bigger servo's, stronger/more clutches, and either a shift kit or tuning. my auto suffered a lot from torque managment because of my torque converter between shifts. The computer will pull power to save the tranny, causing sloppy shifts. your sc is prolly upping your torque at the shifts causing the computer to pull power. tuning along with the tranny upgrades will fix that tranny.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

check the plug gap on that plug
...... unless the #4 is taking hits too...... at night look for the spark arching out of the wire to a ground that will cause misfires like thatwww.turbov6camaro.com

Cool, ok. I am still looking for the rear end. I plan on upgrading the coils soon. The headers are the big plan now. I am so not looking forward to that install. I've heard so many horror stories. Especially broken bolts in the head. I am going to see if I can take a couple of vacation days from work, so I don't have to rush. My plans are to get them in and I have a 3" in/ out magnaflow cat in the mail. After the cat is up for grabs, but I do plan on keeping my v8 muffler and dual tips. It's new, and I spent alot of money on the install. Don't want it to go to waste. I will have to use a reducer when the pipe gets there. That though bothers me. So I can be talked out of that I guess.Jessica :)
Kansas: There\'s no place like home...99 Firebird Blown/6lbs, Eaton w/3.42\'s CI headers Z28 Exaust
CAI, #36 injectors Intense PCM

hit the botls up with pb blaster and WD40 real well before you work on them. Is a 99 so it might not be too bad.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251
