  • Another question..with the GTP supercharger....

YES! I know that I have raised this question before.BUT, if I had a 2inch raised cowl hood. Would the GTP supercharger fit in there?

Yep. You'll have to do alot more to make it work though.

It's not the hood you really have to worry about, it's the firewall and the recession under the windsheild.

So, basically the GTP sc is a waist of money. IS there any other way you can get a sc for the 3.8s for under 3,500?

i've actually been doing a lot of research on this, Holden makes a supercharged 3.8 powered by the Eaton M90. you'll have to try to find the blower and the elbow that's on those cars. but they won't just 'bolt up'. there is a lot of work that will go into it to work.

the blower on the Holden's is an M90 but the casting is a little different than thte american M90 so you can't just buy the elbow and expect it to fit. also, good luck trying to find these parts, even though Holden is a GM brand, parts numbers and impossible to find, trust me...i've looked. :(

Not true. A L67 will fit in a 93-97 Firebird with the WS6 hood. GM did it. If anyone wants the article, e-mail me.

I saw that GM prototype car in person. Was a 97- style with a WS6 hood for clearnce. Looks like firewall was modified to fit intake piping.

Definately not a very effecient setup.

Holden setup is nice, however still not cost effecient as you need an L67 block/heads.

Firewall and windshield, or just firewall? Hood I could easily live with ... But, hell, i'd rather not have to use a 3-piece lexan windshield. What I'd rather see is (umm, the yellow GRM $2002 challenge bmw 2002 used) is the blower mounted elsewhere, driven by a pulley and a shaft, and with tubing coming out of the bottom to the intake, i.e. not directly mounted to the mainfold.

Then don't post in this thread. Go make your own turbo kit do something else whatever. Why "waste your time" in this thread? Thanks.

Nick I'll talk to you on IM tonight, lata!
