Which branch are you in bro? I'm going into the military myself in the Fall so I tend to ask a lot of questions when I know of someone in the service I'll most likely be going Air Force due to the high mechanical demand they have which means big sign up bonuses! A lot of people say AF is for wusses but most of those people aren't in the military at all so... who gives a **** what they think :-D

Dark, don't hijack the thread bro! ;)

But to answer your question, I'm in the AF, we have the highest quality of living or something like that, which basically means the best housing, facilities, etc. Everyone else is just pissed because we live so well... :D

Just come back safe, then worry about the mods. At least the mods are a good motivator so you don't go nuts. Take care.

I'm in the army and am typing to you from camp udari, kuwait right now. It's a little warm but that is to be expected. As for which branch to sign up for? Whichever you see fit and is willing to adhere to your needs. The air force does have awesome living and what not but you also need to know that you can't pick your job like you can in the army. You can pick a field but not a job so saying you pick the medical field you could be a janitor in a hospital or something similiar.

It's not very often you see good advice like what when it comes to enlisting.

Look at all the branches and decide which one is best for you at that point. The pay is all the same, the benefits are all the same, but the experiences are going to be totally different. Also, don't assume that there will only be sign on bonuses with the AF because of "high mechanical" demands, because every branch has high mechanical demands.

BTW, Marine Corps here.. I was in Iraq last year during the war.

Ok, i'm done hijacking the thread now. :D
