• Quick vacuum line questions!

Allight, I am almsot done setting up my "imporved" powerdyne kit!!

but I have a few questions about vacuum lines..

1) is there any easy palce to run one or split one off the intake?? if so where? and what hardware will i need??

2) the other option
I got some 6MM aproimatly 1/4" silicone vacuum hose.. here is my "plan"

If I were to tap my EGR block off plate on my intake, and use the 6mm lines..
would that be addiquate to support the FMU, electronic guage, and later a BOV?

BTW if anyone is looking for new silicone couplers.. or tiago and FFF may want to look into their stuff too for their kits..

because!!
HTS is the shiznit!!

High temp silicone

they have an ebay store and a regular website..

for one of the hoses i needed (3.5" 90-deg elbow) most palces wanted like $80.. which is insane

the HTS one was under $50...

they have been around for a while, but are just now tooling up for web stuff.. and they make pretty much any size hose you can imagine..

www.hightempsilicone.com

their customer service ROCKS too!

evertime i have emailed them.. they have gotten back to me in under 45 mins!! some times i emailed them at like 2:00 am..

i am serisouly wondering if they ever sleep..

Billy -- grab the vacuum from the line that goes into the TB. It's a big focker, and sorta has a 90* plug. What you do is take a thick piece of vac hose, put it on the TB, then use a Y or T connector to split that to your whatever / boost gauge / fmu / etc, provided that you want a post-plate signal.

Good luck! This reminds me that I need to go over my vac diagram ...

Yeah, basically what Wicked said. Ironman24 has a good picture of it on his website.

www.carolinafbodyclub.com/ironman24/

Click on Album on his 98 Camaro and then Powerdyne. Then click on Finishedinstall.jpg just so to get an idea.

I have one too but it's not as good as his.

I Think that that running it off the EGR blcok off plate is a good idea.. I just need to know if 6MM lines are adaquate?
