Anyone ever have their boost gauge fog up on them? Mine did on the way home from work yesterday. Weird. It was pretty muggy out and was raining off and on all day. Just curious.

I think thats a pretty damn good sign that somethings not right with your vac lines.

I never heard of a brand new gauge mounted on the inside of the car foggng up. i don't live in the tropics, but that doesn;t sound right.

If all your gauges (including dash gauge) were fogged up because you had a puddle of water in your car that would be different.

I still never heard where you attached the MAIN VAC source to. Is it over on the passenger side REAR manifold like I have mine in my pics?

I wonder if that BOV VAC valve is leaking at it is presurizing the inside off the boost gauge...doesn't make sense though. The boost gauge should not leake from the back (npt fitting) to the inside of the gauge face. very odd.

Yes, I hooked to the pass rear vac, it has a 45 degree elbow on it.

Yeah, you do have a leak somewhere. Everything should be tight and sealed. Definately check your vacuum. This could be your solution as well.

a test of the vacumm lines would be to disconnect all the vac lines from the main vac source. reconnect the stock vac line connector to where it belongs. this means you will not have FMU or Boost gauge or BOV...but the cars original vac lines will be tight and secure. test drive the car. maybe disconnect the battery while you are re routing the vac lines as well. don't put the car into high boost. keep it below 4000 rpm. see if the sluggishness has gone away.
I don't have a lot of experience with BOV systems, But it might be a good idea to try this. you wont harm the FMU or the Boost gauge by just disconnecting them from VAC source.

Regardless of how the test turns out you still want to hook everything back up when you are done with the test.

Concerning the intake manifold VAC source...
I noticed on my car that the stock VAC conncetor elbows were larger than 1/8". I used a multiple sized 'T' adapter. this type of adapter has three barbed ends and each of them starts off as 1/8" and gets bigger...for adapting different sizes of VAC hoses together. I trimmed on of the barbs off to expose a larger diameter barb. I used the larger barb for the STOCK connector elbow in order to achieve a tight seal. I have pics of this and the multi size adaptor T on my website...on the boost gauge or FMU guide web page.
if you have vac leaks....at the manifold....your car will run goofy.

it could be the gauge itself..shouldnt the side of the gauge that you read from be air tight from everything else?..

I'll try the test tomorrow, I didn't get a chance to read your post till now. Dang. I had today off too. I think my vac tubing is too small to begin with. It was the only kind that Advance had at the time. I have a 3 way by the main vac source. 1 to origional vac line, the other to the boost gauge and the last to the fmu. However, I ended up having to split it again to hook up the BOV.
