...and if it did would you trust it? I know that there are some more parts to be purchased before something like this could be operational, but could it be fitted to our cars?
hmmmm that turbo is kinda expensive man...and it is waaaaaaaaay tooooo big for our cars. I believe it says its a T70... that is so big, what you want is like a T3/T4 hybrid or something along the lines of that. Again that is a big turbo, you wont be able to get that thing spinning fast enough.

Thanks guys for the info. This guy says at the end of his description that he has other turbo's for sale, but I would like to make sure of credibility. So a T3 or T3/T4 hybrid is a better choice? I'll ask him later next week about that.

If you were going to build a racecar, the T70 would be better. But for a street car that will see track use once in a while, you will want to go with a T3/T4 hybrid.
EDIT: Explanation.... if you plotted some points on a compressor map of the T70 you will most likely see that you are operating to the left of the surge line almost all of the time unless you were running some insane boost levels... the T70 is a turbo good for 800HP applications... that is why I said that it would be fine if you were building a racecar. With a T4 series compressor, you should be operating at good efficiency at all rpm for any reasonable level of boost.

Go get "Maximum Boost: Designing, Building and Testing Turbocharger Systems by Corky Bell" and read it cover to cover, every last page. Its everything you ever needed to know about turbocharging a vehicle.

I keep hearing people say that some turbos are just too big for our cars... why is that?
I thought that if you keep the boost under a safe level (like 8 or 9), that it wouldnt matter how big it is. Is it because there isnt enough exhuast to move a turbo that big? Or is it because the turbo would make boost too late? Thanks.
